I'd say picking flax, green dragons or just making green dhide, i mean tanning it.

If you have a good mage level, and smithing level, superheat steel bars. its profitable + same xp as alching. very easy to do and takes same time to alch. Give or take a few less experience per hour.

 

Get 85 slayer and sit at abby demon. I get atleast 1 whip every 3 hours. So 1 mill every 1 hour. Or you can do green dragon's. At the moment it is FILLED with botters. But if you have high stats to out damage those bots. You get a nice 400 - 500k per hour. Also Aberrant Spectre is good. They drop rare herbs such as ranarr, and even snapegrass. Which there profit per hour is roughly the same as green dragon. Just less people.

you could also try cows. im not sure on the rate at which you make gold, but its something to think about.

 

I think best way to get money in f2p is wcing yews, mining runites, steel bars Maybe there is some other ways, but i dont know them.

First:F2p
Second: You can one hit iron easily and it is only half of yews. Yews take 5 secs per log if lucky and iron takes 2 secs if unlucky. I reccomend doing this at the dwrven mine on a foreign language pvp world.

Like others have said, steel bars is a great method for F2P.
Woodcutting is a good method too, but it might be a while to get your woodcutting high enough to get a lot of logs/hr.

Smelt steel bars, but buy the materials. 100k+ gp/hour, when I did it.
