2007 Voting Multiple Times

I read somewhere that if you clear your internet cache, you are able to vote again multiple times on the 2007 Poll. I just thought I share this with you all. Not sure what browser it works on, but its worth a shot!

 

Pretty sure it doesn't work. Voting works with usernames and there's probably a script to filter out redundant votes from the same username.

However, on another thread, someone posted how to get two votes for $2. To sum it up, you make a new account and refer someone to become member, wait 24 hours, and both get 75% off membership. Don't know if that guide works as I haven't played in a while but it seems plausible.

 

I seriously dont think this would work, why would Jagex store important customer account information in their own internet caches, this means they would have no records back at HQ whos voted and who hasnt, and would evidently lead to bug abuse.

Plus, if this information was stored in your internet cache, normal players would accidentally exploit it who happen to have more than one computer, or use multipler browsers, play Runescape at their friends etc, the system would constantly think you havent voted.

 

I heard you can use different browsers to vote as well.

 

This is nonsense. Votes are tied to the account, not to the browser or the computer.

 

Unless someone can confirm this, i'm not believing it. Surely the votes are based on the RS account and not the i.p address...

 

I didn't think so either, I saw it being commented on a youtube video last night, and figured someone would try it to see if it worked.

 

I few users have said it hasn't worked today, so I'm guessing it was a useless rumor.
