Imo, this is where it should be drawn. They have done good, for once. Eliminating rsbots, rsbuddy, powerbot, epicbot, etc etc. To fight RiD and Simba, well they'd have to require better computers to handle better graphics and such. . if i need a WoW capable computer to play rs. . well fuck, i'll just play WoW, lol.

Leave RiD and Simba, RiD is much too expensive to use for goldfarmers, Simba is much too simplistic, ban who you catch, do what you can to fight them without losing players with low-end computers.

This is what i'd like to see from jagex anyways, but as i know they're considering moving on up to a disk game, so they may just require better and better specs and stuff and continue attacking boots at the source instead of improving detection

    opinions?

if they move up from browser-base to disc, then it will be a RS 3 right?

and WoW doesn't require much power to play...

I think your dead on with requiring more high end graphics.

Runescape is well aware that there target market isn't high end gamers, and I think they would crazy to target that group specifically.
Especially with some of the major high end MMorpg releases we will be seeing within the next year.

Personally, I either want good bots (reliable) or no bots at all.

Most people agree, they won the war on bots, the remaining survivors are the everlasting cockroaches (myself included). Easy to fight, easy to detect, does minimal harm compared to the reliable bots they killed.

Real players no longer feel they must bot to keep up, the remaining bots are botting for gold or botting simple repetitive tasks on their mains and such. Most won't risk their mains to avoid alching and such, they'll just manually alch. Jagex claims it is working to remove the "grind" from the game in the future, i mean, this is a new era. A great era for runescape, especially if the promised updates are in the works to come out this year. I don't think it'd be worth it to remove the last 2% of bots if it costs them a decent amount of legit players, or causes their competition to be WoW and such instead of maple story and shit like it is now.

I am not fully agreeing with that until rsbots gives up there development or are obviously giving false hope out to members(getting close to this point).

I'm not one to have a "in-your-face" attitude about speculation, i believe rsbots is no different than rsbuddy in the sense it won't return. At least not for months, and im thinking upwards of 3-4 not 1 month. rsbots was harmed so much more than rsbuddy, and rsbuddy didn't return. Imagine what nexus has to do to fix their client. I hope rsbots doesn't return, but if it does, i can't say i won't use it again. Anyone and everyone who states anything on the matter is merely talking about their opinion though, no one knows for sure haha.

As soon as Jagex start IP bans, that will destroy any botters which aren't RiD or SIMBA. VPN's cost money and you'd be spending more money on new IPs then making money.

If there was a retail version of RS, I might get it but I have a feeling it would be very similar to RS2, just a slightly different layout. Picture the WoW interface with RS gameplay, not much difference.
