Where have the real signature's gone?

I'm tired of seeing all these 3D and C4D signature's. Where have all the nice tags gone?

 

I agree with you ,, but i guess styles and trends come and go in designing,, now the is 3d the thing,, maybe in some time something else will come up

I've only ever seen the new tags, due to my join date. Although, if done right, they look really good. I seen one that Kinaesthic did, called "Roary" and it was posh text that wasn't too 3D, that looked good.

 

Meh.. If you want to see tags that badly, there are plenty of forums where you can find hundreds of them.
This also seems to be a neverending discussion.. for over a year now, actually

 

Mines not made in C4D, nor is it 3D. Not sure if you would call it "nice" though.

 

If you want real sigs make them profitable. I still do traditional sigs, but only in my spare time because no one buys them anymore.

Kina, you don't have to be a dick about it. We all know you make 3D sigs.

 

I dont want to sound like a dick at all.. in fact, I also do tags when I so desire.
The fact that I have seen around 20 threads stating the same just gets.. slighty repetitive and annoying

 

No you were being a straight up douche bag and there is no need for it. People are allowed to express their opinions.

 

My latest has no c4ds in it .
Most of them need 3d signatures but i make one signature 100% in photoshop once a week if i don't i will get rusty .I am making old school signatures more that 3 years and you must go with the time because they all like 3D signatures.

Unfortunately 3d has taken over since most artists on Sythe are in it for the money, and traditional tags just aren't marketable.

I've always loved your signature, Kadaj. And yes, 3d sigs can be quite annoying. But that's what's in style. So you have to deal with it.

 

Like what other people have said, 3D sigs are what sells. Tags are more focused on the art than the marketing power, and Sythe being a Market Forum, you would have to expect that that would take precedent. In sites that are more art based, you are sure to find more tags since nobody is trying to sell anything.

 

I suppose it is nice to see some 3D graphics, but I miss the old 2D I used to find on other sites.

It hasn't really paid off, but I suppose I have no experience with C4D so it's my only option really. I need some tutorials on 3D sigs to keep up with the market xD

I like the 2D sigs, and I like the 3D sigs, but I suppose more people like 3D sigs than 2D sigs nowadays so it's more profitable for us designers :3

 

Well at least I'm not seeing master chief renders everywhere now. Just pretty colours.

Also everyone here is shit with C4D, making MoText and adding your textures from youtube isn't hard.

 

I might do some tags soon, just depends on time and other factors.

Also people here only use C4D for text i'll give you that much. Chill out though, it's not like you post insane GFX.
