All hopes aside, do you believe that jagex will start selling gold?

yeah, what do you think will happen if they start selling gold? do you still think selling gold on here will be worth it/profitable? what do experienced people think?

 

I highly doubt JaGex would ever start selling gold.

It would ruin the game IMO, and I think JaGex knows this.

 

removing wildy ruined the game, korasi ruined the game, armadyl storm ruined the game, removing special attacks is going to ruin the game, i wouldn't put it past them

 

Putting that much gold into the game would cause rampart inflation. They may profit in the short run from it but in the long run it would kill it. It would be wiser for them not to implement a gold shop.

 

They stated a loooooong time ago that they wouldn't ever do this because "the poor players who can't afford to pay for virtual items would feel left out and it takes the fun out of the game." They're against buying items or gold for real life cash. They think in the game that all currency should typically be earned rather than bought.

 

i hope that's true cus it would ruin gold selling and kill the game.

 

The majority of Runescape players don't participate in the black market, if everyone bought gold it would completely ruin any sense of accomplishment the game had.

 

That will never happen unless they want to shot themselves in the foot.

 

I HOPE they never start selling gold. Then gold sellers will be screwed over.

 

I doubt they will ever sell gold, how ever I do think they will start selling loyalty points in the near future personally.
You already have to pay for them ATM by getting membership but I'm sure jagex would take the extra money to sell instant points.

 

Lol, if jagex started selling gold they would have to start charging like 5$ a Mil, because there game would just go downward, and start to be a private server.

 

if jagex sold gold they would be going against their own Tos >.> which wouldent make much sense and theyd sell it for so high no one would buy it maybe the f2p players and the noobie p2p players you shouldent worry about it.

Thats not happening. Although in a sense they are by selling spins on SOF. Albeit at a very high rate!

 

They wouldn't do that, it would ruin the economy.
