What can my parents really do if I get caught smoking Kush?

I haven't posted in awhile, but that's not the point.

Anyways, what happens if I get caught smoking Kush by my parents? I was really close to getting caught. I was blazing with my buddy in the back alley of my house, and my father came out for a cigarette. I quickly stashed the pipe in my jacket and told my father we were going that direction. Anyways, when I came back, my friend left, and my mother starts questioning me "DO YOU SMOKE? DO YOU DO DRUGS? I KNOW A LOT OF KIDS DO THIS NOWADAYS! DON'T EAT THE DRUG!!!" Anyways, she claims she'd kick me out for doing any of that. I live in Canada, specifically Manitoba if anyone is really wondering what province I live in. Can they really kick me out of my house? I'd think this goes in the General section, as it's not really that personal. Just wanted your opinions on this, I'm 17 at the moment by the way.

Edit: My parents are Chinese, by the way. They don't take kindly to drugs as some of you may know.

I can't say what you're parents will do since I don't know them, but if they are the kind of legit parents that would do such a thing they "could" if they wanted to. Not sure of Canadian laws but 17 is still a minor. Anyways, I find it interesting that your dad smokes but your mom doesn't like smoking and drugs.

Either way, don't get caught. Don't smoke in places easily accessible by your parents

 

Well there's really no telling if your mom's serious or not about kicking you out or not. Personally, that sounds like something my mom would say just to try and intimidate me (she wouldn't ever kick me out if she knew I smoked pot).

Like ImaFool said, since we don't know your parents, we can't really say for sure what they'd do. I suppose they could kick you out if they were serious, but I'm not not entirely sure what the legality of that is.

Best you can do is be careful and to not get caught. Try hotboxing more often, or smoke in your bathroom. Since we have a window in our restroom, I just open it up, close the door, put a towel over the bottom of it, turn on the fan, and toke. As long as you blow the smoke out the window, you shouldn't have too much of a problem with the smell. Have some febreeze or something ready just in case though.

Thanks guys, but was mostly wondering what they can do legally. Cops usually don't care in my city if you smoke Kush or not, it's like "Oh, I caught you with an Oz of weed for your personal use, here grab a handful for the night and I'll take the rest". Or the worst the cops would do is take away your kush, unless you're caught dealing or whatever, then they take that seriously. If you have it all in one bag and not in separate individual baggies, they won't do much, or if you had things for dealing like a scale and baggies that aren't packed yet, then you're screwed if you're caught. But yeah, it's cold outside, can't do it in the house, or it'll be mad cold inside the washroom.

My fathers been smoking cigarettes since he was 18 or something, and my mother didn't know back then that it was bad for you. My fathers hooked on it, and he can't stop or he'll feel sick. My mother recently learned that cigarettes are bad for you, recently as in this century or a bit earlier before Y2K.

I'm sure they can kick you out because technically you were doing something illegal. Anyway if they wanted to they could make it a living hell for you to the point where you would want to leave.

 

Respect the wishes of your parent's man. They're only doing what they think is right for you, and you can't deny them that. If your going to smoke, do so at a friends house, and try and stay there until the high is gone.

I got caught by my parents a couple times during highschool, and it caused a lot of problems that really weren't worth having.

Legally speaking, the only way you can get in trouble is if your found with it in your possession. Your parent's hold all the power in this situation, but they can make you go to chemical dependency, or other drug rehabilitation classes.

Idk if this helped, but trust me, if your going to smoke, take extra precaution to keep it on the DL. Smoking it, or getting caught just isn't worth the headache.

that's normal , I'am not sure but I think she doesn't mean in ..
and in fact she can only "kick you out" until you are aged 18 ( here in belguim you are aged on 18)

 

I think that they could kick you out if they wanted to, I guess they are just worried about you ending up like other kids that smoke and all that type of nonsense.

 

They can kick you out or give you to the social services or something like that.

I would take it easy and do it more discrete, it sounds like you have a good family that cares. hard to find now a days. Dont mess it up IMO.

 

You were lucky they didn't see you just then; you need to be more careful. My best advice - try not to find out! Be sneaky/leave the house and walk further before smoknig so they can't see you/smell it. They might or might not kick you out.

 

Im not sure they can kick you out, but they sure as hell can make your life suck. My parents used to care in like 8th grade/freshman year, then i got caught one day and just kinda told them to fuck off, i do good in school and stuff, so im getting high. and now, a freshman going to community college still living at home, i smoke pot in my room every day, and my parents dont care.

What happened to me was just mad distrust from my parents. But one more year for you and you can pretty much do whatever the fuck you want so just keep it on the extreme DL.

Can they kick you out of the house at 17? YES, they could have kicked you out of the house at 16...

Don't do anything your parents wouldn't want you to do until you are out of the house...it's the reason I left home at 14...

 

Depends on how your parents are. But sense you got close to getting caught , you shouldn't smoke for a little and then continue.
