Will we hit 1,000,000?

Okay so, the referendum has been out for 5 days and 12 hours, currently at 574,666 votes. So, 91% of those votes has voted yes. (522,946 approx.)

I did a one minute timer; current votes: 574,742

After the one minute; current votes: 574,770
+28 votes that round.
After that one minute, here's another; 574799
+29 votes that around.


Let's just average 27 votes a minute through-out the day, 24 of those people voting "Yes."

We have ~15 and a half days to hit ~1million yes, current yes's is approx 523,000

370 Hours till the poll ends.
So, 370 x 60 = 22,200 minutes, which is around 621,7600 votes, and 90% of 621 600 = 559 440.

559 440 + 522,946 = 1,082,386.

Give or take a few, I'm going to record the scores for one hour.

I will edit with a reply once I have successfully recorded the votes for 1hr.

Votes as of 9 AM. PST ; 577,034 - - 1,932 Votes in that hour. Which is 32.2 Votes per minute.
Votes asof 10 AM PST ; 579,305 -- 2,271 ! Slowing increasing. Which is 37.85 Votes per minute.
Votes as of 11 AM PST; 582,035 -- ~3,300 Increasing more. Which is 55 votes per minute.
Will continue for the next hour.

 

I expect the votes per minute to gradually slow down as there will be a reduction in the amount of voters. But in the end we shud reach 1 Mill votes cuz even if we are short, many of us may want to help by making new accounts and voting for the sake of it.

 

remember the amount of votes per minute will go down after a period of time and there will be less people voting at night.

 

I want to keep this thread alive, so people can get a general idea of the number of votes we'll approximately achieve,

 

Don't know why Jagex are caring about the numbers, 90% is clearly a majority in favor of the updates and its not like its going to suddenly turn the opposite direction. Jagex will milk this for all its worth.

 

I honestly doubt it. We will be lucky to reach 800k imo.

 

I don't think the 90% counts as anything in their eyes, I believe they're trying to secretly set a world record, and must have 1 million votes plus. (+)

 

Don't think so. It's really slowing down if you compare it to three days ago. I really don't think it matters though. Update will happen second week of January most likely.

 

I'm not so sure about it though, didn't they say 1 million voters wasn't enough?!

 

i personally think that even if we do not hit 1mil,the update is coming anyway,or else we will be piss off,and more people will quit*so i expect the update to happen sooner or later

 

I agree, so many people getting their hopes up, many are making a lot of compliment threads on the Official Runescape Forums. I'm not 100% sure on this one million votes though, it's just what I heard on Zybez.

Guinness book of world records. by the way, I updated the hour vote. I will do it a few more hours, maybe even for a week. We'll see how this thread goes.

 

Hour votes will be too inaccurate. Only the votes/24 hrs is what matters.

 

Yes, obviously Guinness world records, i meant specifically what record are they after? Most votes in an online poll etc.

Mod MMG is talking bullshit. Everybody is making new accounts to vote again? What's the point of that? They need a IP-voter or something... Totally useless if you ask me.

 

I completely agree, if we have 999 thousand and not a million they will easily just let this slip by as another "rumor"
