This has happened to me numerous times.

Somebody reports somebody else for scamming and I know the guy is a scammer because he either scammed me previously, or tried to scam me.

I hit reply to say "Yes he is a scammer, he tried to scam me... Here's proof... (Insert perfect proof by Gomez here)"

And BAM! I can't reply to it cause I don't have privileges to do so. I think that's a bit fucked up.

And in addition to that, we need more people to make decisions on who gets banned and who doesn't. I'd say maybe %5 max of those reports actually get replied to and acknowledged.

If someone scams you you should make ANOTHER report a scammer topic, not ride on someone elses. Theres no point in spamming up the topic with more and more proofs, one topic for every person scammed.

as thanatos said.. you should make anotehr thread... and notify a moderator.

if everyone can reply to threads... can you imagine it ??? pages and pages of spamm :

    -"ban him"
    -"he scammed me too"
    -" he should be banned"
-"hes my friend, hes not a scammer"

How convient thread starter is banned. Just make a new thread posting proof that the other person is indeed the scammer/frammer. Not hard.

Genuine scammers already get banned, it's just a lot of work for mods, and technically speaking if you only have one thread dedicated to a scammer then the mods have a chance of over looking it, but if there are 10 or so because of multiple people being scammed by this person odds are it's going to be seen sooner, so being able to reply to threads would actually make it HARDER to get people banned.

Not just because of the above, but then because mods have to read all the replies to see if theres anymore proof etc. Waste of time and it will actually hurt the forums.
