How To Setup Variables For JDK [Tut] And RSBot Help Thread

Well I've noticed a lot of posts about errors that are from variables being set incorrectly so Here is a tut on how to do it.

First click on the Start menu then right click on Compute and click properties:



Then on the left side of the windows that pops up, click Advanced system settings:



Now Click Environment variables:



Now find the variable PATH in the system variables box and click edit:



Now when that Variable comes up, delete what's in the Variable value, and put in:
%PATH%;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11\bin\;


(what it should look like)
When you get a new version of JDK just change the version in your variable.
Now click Ok, Ok and Ok.

To check if its working press the windows button and R on your keyboard the windows button is usually inbetween ctrl and alt, if not you should get a new keyboard.
and type in cmd to the window that comes up, then press enter.
Now in the cmd window, type in path and press enter and it should say:
PATH=%PATH%;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11\bin\;

As for help, post your problem and make sure you fully explain what's wrong and it better not be a Variables error.
I can help with script errors as well which is basically what the help part is for seeing as anything to do with variables shoud now be fixed.

This is also a help thread so if anyone needs help with script errors and not compiling errors then just post here as well.

 

I have made a variable named "path" and have putted "%PATH%;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_17\bin\;" in the Variable Value, and i have also checked the cmd thing .. And it says "PATH=%PATH%;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_17\bin\;". But it still doesn't work :/? Then i try to compile a script it still says: "Path file does not exist. Please run RSBot and try again. I'm running RSBot, but it doesn't work??? Some1 please help me!
