What is the purpose of being a pure?

Ive been wondering what the reason / purpose of being a pure is.
I'm thinking of becoming a zerker, does anyone want to
tell me what the purpose is
of one?

 

low level pking, thats why i have pures, less defence for me equals higher hits.

A Pure is usually created for PKing. There are not a lot of other uses for it. A Low level combat with high hits.

 

Would a zerker count as a pure?
45 def

 

Yes it would, you may want to look into getting turmoil for it which requires that you do temple of senisten and 95 prayer which costs about ~105m using dbones. Turmoil is just to good top pass up.



Also quest all of your defence, DO NOT train it by hand, quests should get you all the way to 45.

It does not. It's a zerker. Not a pure. Nowadays everything is called a pure.

 

Pures now go by different names, e.g. barrows pures etc. people really just want to fight at certain cb levels.

 

Yeah, i know about not training it by hand, i'm working on the subquests for temple of senisten right now.

it's like a glass cannon, you pack a punch but your also fragile, you keep your combat low, and can avoid all the higher levels with better gear etc.

keeps pking simple and to the point where you don't lose just because the other guy has better armour.

 

Well, everyone who makes a pure just does it to PK in order to have a good time because mains can become boring.

 

Honestly I think pure PKers are fun if you get bored of your main.
They can't do any quests or God Wars etc though.

 

high hits/attack and strength at a low level. it's just a new experience compared to a main and good break from defence pking, for me atleast.

 

good to start pure pking i think, less risk involved, can see what its actually like learn switches etc.

 

pures are used to try and keep your cb level low and own mains who think they are top shit

e.g. a pure with 99 str 99 att and 1 def could be the same level as someone with 70 att str and def and although its kinda a fairly level fight the pure can hit higher and give a good k0 hit whereas the mains k0 his is kinda limited

 

this doesn't work no more though, with the combat really unbalanced.
