lol kinda funny but what should I do?

So a few days ago I made a post asking what was up with the password system jagex put into place. well I found my answer, appearantly someone at sometime managed to switch the email connected without my knowledge so when I tried to change my password it sent the email to theirs lol so now they're sitting on a maxed main with about 2 bill on it. I am in the process of recoverying it.

My question: When I get it back how on earth do I change the email I tried before but it would not let me and I know literally nothing about runescapes current recovery systems.

 

if you have access to the email that you're changing it from then there should be no problem?

I didn't have access was the problem someone I rented my account to somehow changed the email without my knowledge and because jagex's system was bugged it acted like my original email was the correct one for changing the email other than it wouldn't give me a current code[ I assume because the email was changed] and so when I tried to change the password he got the chance to change my password.

I did this, I moaned bitched and complained until finally a Jmod answered and reset my email for me GF rapier, lucky bandos chest, and about half my loot I take it he must have been a bad pker\staker or something lol. still got half my shit back and the account fixed so I guess I'll live.

 

When you recover the account your e-mail should be set onto it.

 

They revamped their recovery system. When you recover it, it will be set to your email that you used to have them email you notifying you if it was successful or not.
