Windows 8 help

I just bought a new laptop, it has windows 8, and i'm not too familiar with the software just yet.

Okay basically, when signing into Skype, it already the the Skype name connected to my Microsoft account, it has 2 connected, and asks which one I want to merge, as I can only merge one.

What does this mean exactly? The Microsoft account (Msn/Hotmail account) is my personal one for IRL. I have a Skype for forums, and may be using it for this one soon too, I don't want to mix the things up.

When you confirm the merge for x account, you will then have to sign in using your Microsoft account address.

I just recently got a new computer with Windows 8 & have most of it figured out, so if you need my help, don't be afraid to PM me or add me on Skype (when you figure it out).

I've already been helping Berry via PM, but if anyone else needs help with Windows 8, this is how to switch to a Local so you don't have to merge your Skype account with your primary Windows email that you registered with your Windows 8.

Press the Windows Button (found in the bottom left of your keyboard between ALT and FN keys) + C to get this:

Click "Settings"

then Click "Change PC Settings" found at the bottom

and lastly, Click "Users"

Once you do this, you can click "Switch to a Local account" / "Switch to a Microsoft account" - you can toggle it as much as you please, but that's how you get around merging your Windows 8 primary email with the many apps from the Store, although you'll still need a Microsoft account for many downloads.
