How to become a very good Range/Mage pure!

Hello people, welcome to my first Range/Mage guide.
I hope you all enjoy!



To start off, walk to the grand Exchange and buy this:

10k iron knives
Coif/Robin hood hat*
Cowl
Leather boots/Ranger boots*
Glory/Fury*
Leather chaps
Studded chaps
Green dragon hide chaps (and vambs)
Blue dragon hide chaps (and vambs)
Red d hide chaps (and vambs)
Black d hide chaps. (and vambs)
Bone C’bow&20K Bone bolts.
Archer ring*
1K Lobs
50 Range pots*
Some runes to teleport if you dont want to walk*
Cannon*
Around 5k Cannon Balls*
Ring of Wealth
Obisan Cape
500 Adament Arrows*
Dark Bow*

*Is not a must, but better/faster







Wear your cowl, leather chaps, and your knives.
Also wear your glory and possible your archer ring.

Rub your glory, and go to edgeville.
Go to the monks.
If you dont know where the monks are, here is how to come there







Train to 40 range at the monks with your knives.


TIP:
Do this quest: Animal Magnetism (The backpack will pick the most of your arrows up!)

Then go to the edgeville bank, and get 1 law and 5 airs from it.
Also wear green d'hide chaps(and vambs), possible robin hood hat and boots.
Teleport to Camelot now and walk to the rock crabs.
If you dont know where the rock crabs are:







Get your Cannon* with your balls there, and shoot 2.5k balls at the rock crabs.
Then get your iron knives from the bank, and train at Rock crabs 65 range.
Now do the Waterfall Quest.

Now go to the fire giants.

This is wat you need to wear:


Hat: Robin hood hat/Coif
Ammy: Fury/Glory
Top: Leather Body
Legs: Red D'Hide Chaps
Weapon: Dorgenshuun C'Bow
Ring: Wealth (For better drops, its a must!)
Quiver: Around 20k Bone bolts
Boots: Ranger boots/Wizard Boots/Leather Boots
Hands: Red D'Hide Chaps
Cape: Ava's attractor or Ava's accumulator
Shield: -


INVERTORY:

Range Pot(3)
Range Pot(3)
Range Pot(3)
Dark Bow (USE THE DARK BOW ONLY FOR SPECS TOGETHER WITH ADDAMENT ARROWS)
500 Adament Arrows
Lobster
Lobster
Lobster
Lobster
Lobster
Lobster

Lobster

Train there till 70 range, pick all the fires up. (And other good stuff)
Wear black D'Hide Chaps and Vambs, go back.

Train there till 85 range.

Now, if you want Mage to, read this:

Get 37 Mage first, with curses confuses and weakens. Do it with full iron so u can keep doing it on the same monster.

Then buy this:

657 Laws
657 Waters
A air staff

Keep teleporting all the runes up.
You should be now 45 Mage.

Now buy this:

1,832 Laws.
(And use your Airs Staff again)

Keep teleporting all the runes up.
You should be now 55 Mage.

You can High Alchemy now!


Buy this:

34,556 Nature Runes

Fire Staff

34,556 Yew/Mage longs. Jagex is changing the prices of them constantely <-------Spell check?
So look at Tip.It how much u get each longbow.

Keep alching.
You should be now 82 mage!!

Now you have to do some quests:

Desert Trausere (Ice Blitz)

Okay, you are you a very good Pure.
Keep staying 1 Defence an do this:

Buy 1,718 dragon bones, bury them and you are 52 Prayer.
You can also do it cheaper and go to a guilded altar, and spend less bones.

i dont like it.its asuming everyone is mem and everyone can afford all that stuff.im mem but i cant afford all of that,its 10m+ just to start it.a better guide would have more options for the porrer and f2p people.

i agree that its a bit pricey.. as on my pure i have around 100k try making a guide thats less money. if u have the money its a good guide 8/10

if you put that in ur tittle people would realise that from the start and you wouldnt get responses like this.like "Mage/Range P2P guide" ,from that people would know its p2p and think that it would cost more to do.

 

This guide is pretty useless.....

Because Not all people have 50m to spend on this

 

not bad but you may want to add a total cost, even if most of us know this method costs over 10m i believe

 

Lol the total cost is up there. He really has no knowledge of making a pure from what I can read. 1.7k d bones but he forgets the pre-req quests for animal magnetism, and desert treasure? I'm pretty sure it calcs out to 53 prayer instead of 52. Fire giants at 65 range with a dorgenshuun is like throwing a pebble at the KQ. He would have been better off writing.

1: Get a bow
2: Lot of arrows
3: Go to rock crabs
4: Perform a lobotomy on yourself
5: Stay at rock crabs till you get 99 range

1: Get a staff
2: Get lots of runes
3: Do the same thing you did with range

 

decent, 6/10, i dont like how its so expensive though. you'd need quite a lot of money to do a lot of the things youre asking. overall good for youre first guide.

what if you dont got that much money and you what to be a pure ranger

 

dang dude just for the nats its 10m.all the range stuff is probly bout 15m,the bows for alch,idk how much thay are nowadays but thats atleast another 10m.so assuming i odnt have 35+m like most normal players,how would i use this?

 

I was very rich on my range pure, but im writing a guide without so much money right now
