Possible job?

I applied at a store near me 2 weeks ago. I got a call yesterday to come in today for an interview, so I went in, and I think it went extremely well. He called me back just now, and asked me to come in tomorrow to show him my working papers, social security number, and fill out some paperwork.

Is this good news? Guaranteed job? Possible job? What?

 

Yes. An employer generally won't ask for your social security number unless they are ready to hire you due to the sensitivity of this information. So i would say yes they're mostly likely going to hire you.

 

I wouldn't say 100% guaranteed, employers need your social security number for background checks. It'd be standard procedure for anyone they're considering, but it's 100% guaranteed that they are in fact considering you, I'd say.

The likely scenario is they've got a few acceptable applicants, you being among them, and they're narrowing down the possibilities. But you are in a good position

 

I'd say you're 80% in. They may be other possible candidates, but not more than say 3.
