What's the safest way to purchase ~700m?

I'd like to avoid industrial sellers, preferably purchase from an actual player that just happens to have excess gp, aka infrequent trades. How can I tell them apart? I find the advertisements on the osrs gp market thread super in-navigatable. Also, would it be safer to ask the seller to purchase an expensive item off the GE and then buy it for ~20-40% the price in gp and pay irl money for the difference?

Well they can suspect stakes no doubt, if ur gonna do increments especialy. I suggest you to stake 700m vs 700m turn mage on , melee/range off just make sure seller doesnt have runes in case he tries to fuck you up lol.

I wouldn't worry too much about it they usually go after the sellers. But trading in smaller increments over time may be safer.

 

Searching for people that don't trade gold frequently means you're probably going to be trading with people with low rep. Always be very cautious.
Maybe look for people in the account service market or account sales market with still high rep rather than gold traders. Less ban rate that way i presume, whilst still remaining safe. GL

Edit: you can ask for the manager/owner of a gold selling website in the live chat especially when buying bulk amounts to avoid the possibility of being scammed by a rogue worker.

After seeing kempq get banned recently, i'm curious whether it was because he was high profile or whether jagex are cracking down and there must be lots of intriguing ways to trade gold however most gold sellers use level 3s with stacked wealth so anyone trading them surely has some kind of risk i used bogla gold in the past and had no problems also i find the best person i trade is lrug dord as he accepts ukbt and is very helpful.

Truth is risk it or not id prefer to buy it different ways using different methods and different accounts dont buy it all at once and lower that risk a little

 

I'd say definitely don't buy it on your main account. I've only ever bought 350M max at time, on a level 3, never had any issues.

 

Do increments on another account and IP, then trade your main.

 

700M really isn't that much money. I'd just stake the trade.

 

I'd either straight trade or stake trade someone that uses a high level/main account (not a low level mule). 700M shouldn't be an issue, especially if it's a one off or infrequent thing.

 

Stake transfer

 

If you want to be extra safe, do a few trades over the course of several days.
Buy from reputable sellers, use a levelled up alt account just in case, and let gold sit on it for a few days.

 

All the people suggesting to stake the money do you guys not realize he need to have 700m beforehand to be able to stake transfer ?

 

if you have the gold stake if not even just splitting it 50/50 into 2 trades would be fine in my experience!
