Can my "new" account get banned for selling my old main. Heard about chainbans.

At the start I give some information and back-story. You can skip to the part where I ask the question and give some more information regarding the case.

It's not entirely new account. Let me give some information regarding this case, this is really unique case. Tried Googling a lot and didn't find quite similar situation.

So it's a past offense that I have not been punished for.. yet.

I had this 2k total account which I sold to my irl friend. I thought he was kinda harmless player, and had done nothing weird on Runescape
(Relevant later in the story). The reason why I sold it, even though it was not worth my time to sell that many hours of playtime for that little what I asked was that I was 100% sure I wouldn't come back. Already had been a long long break.
It was my second account that I have sold, this second time I had gone so far on that account, quest cape, 16m Rc xp in abyss, few 99s, most time consuming untradeables. I knew I wouldn't start again, but I either didn't want to continue playing.
1 Reason also behind selling the account was that, originally I received it from my friend in like 2006. Remembered it was mine and played with that login name on OSRS. Later I realized that I had not actually created it. Only had childhood memories of RS. I tried to Recover it just to see if I can, I had still done 99% of progress on that account since I got it on the "Regular Runescape".
OSRS all progression mine. I don't know how I were not able to recover it, knowing almost everything.

I were afraid that if someday it gets locked or hacked I wouldn't be able to recover it so I was in constant "fear" if you could call it that. So I stopped playing it.

I were playing a lot of other games so I had no intend to come back. But when RuneLite came out, I really digged the client and got exhausted of all the comptitive games that I have played in the past that I wanted to chill.

RELEVANT INFORMATION LEADING TO THE QUESTION HERE:
Question better summarized at the bottom, still kinda long.

Let's call the account I sold X and the one I currently play on, and which is my new main Y.

I sold the account X to my friend few months ago, Y had been created back when I played months before I quit as an alt account attempt. Didn't do anything to it, not worth selling so it just remained as a sleeper in this situation.

Moved onto other games, since RS used to consume most of my time and I usually only browsed internet due to that. Couldn't play "fullscreen games" b4 I quit.

After a long break, I came back because of RuneLite and exhaustion. Wanted to experience the nostalgia again and I had starting cash from RS3.
The account Y. Reminder this was created before I sold the account X, It had probably around 750 total when I started to play on it. The reason why I didn't create a new one was that it had 80+ mining, some quests done, a bit of slayer and 50-combats. Didn't think further about it. I swapped my RS3 gp to osrs and had around 300M starting cash. Now I have played on it for probably two months etc.

Found out that my friend who I sold the account X to had done RWT before, he has his other accounts associated with luring, and this was second account he bought from me. And also hundred of millions GP from elsewhere.

He had shared one of his accounts with me, which I used to make like 30M while I skilled on my main, my main being Y. Traded them to my main, but when I heard about his past rule-breakings I traded back my gear I invested to the account to make better money and the cash I had made.
Usually made new mills, traded to my main, rinse and repeat. Nothing bad with account-sharing, he claimed it was his old main which he used as an alt.

Okay, so now I have gotten flagged probably at this point. Considering he has bought gold, and an other account from somebody else. Used those bought accounts to alt-scape money to his main X, my old account. Traded them to it.

So account X I have logged to from my IP last time when he came to check it months ago when I sold it to him. He is my in-real-life friend. So he came irl to check it, I showed it on my computer. And I have played on the same mac-adress and ip previously.
After that I have not logged onto it, making that clear.

But his alt account I have logged onto. If he gets caught, and manually reviewed wouldn't they see that the account X is not his and they would check my IP. And that I have used one of his accounts to make a bit cash, but the only traded amount is what I had made. Did that for few weeks and stopped, probably only made 20M-30M and traded in 2m-5m parts.

So my IP would get checked for possible RWT, they would notice that I had sold the account. Would see the whole mess of accounts that he has, his RWT's which X and Y are now linked to in a way.

Y only because I have shared an account which he has been on and me.
So me registering my IP on one of his alts, and X's IP showing up on my IP (b4 selling) and his plus his other accounts.
    A) They think I'm doing all this rule-breaking with X
    B) (MOST LIKELY) They recognize that a frequent rule-breaker and second time account buyer bought an account off of me.

It ties me to the whole mess, which I didn't even know about. It's a risk selling accounts of course, but I didn't consider the account Y as a risk. That's why I did nothing with it, didn't sell it or anything. It barely had levels, the only reason why I started to play with it was that it was easier to start with mid levels and one 80+ than with all 1s.

----So my question is: If I have RWT'd my old account X. And continued playing with an account Y (low lvl, but doesn't matter) months later as my "new account", which had been created back when I used to play on the account X which was the account that I sold.

So basically I didn't have a fresh start meaning that I created an account AFTER selling the account.
Since Jagex always says "make a new account", and doesn't IP-ban most of the time. Only flags IP's and only in extreme cases IP-bans could occur.

But I had an account which has been created when I was active on account X, but the account Y was never really that active.

Is my account Y, the one I had created a long time ago and had a new start with going to get banned if my friend gets the account X banned and all his other accounts chain-banned. Do I get also "chain-banned" for RWT'ing.

Meaning that my "new account Y" would get also banned?

Would I have needed to make this account AFTER the RWT incident, or would Jagex still ban the accounts that are made on that IP when they find about the RWT or do they only care about the accounts which are linked to the RWT'd account before it happens not after?

Hypothetical: Account X get's banned, and I made a new account totally before the ban like 1 month ago. Only because I made a new one, but it's still linked to my IP before they discover the RWT (Probably find out the Date when it switched hands). Would they ban the new account which has been made after the sold account traded hands but when they find about the RWT still after it has been made?

What do I mean is that, if the account has been created after RWT'd one traded hands, but before Jagex banned the sold account for RWT (Resulting in chain-bans).
Would it then be the "fresh-start", and Jagex wouldn't bother with that.

My case is not that, I had created my other account before I even RWT'd the account X. But I hadn't played much on it, was probably 750 Total.
So the account Y has been created before the main account traded hands, and also would've be in my use when Jagex finds about the RWT and possibly chain-bans me after investigating my IP.

So would the hypothetical situation's account be safe just because it was created after the rule-breaking but before Jagex finding out.

And is mine not safe just because it was created before. Or would both get banned incase I had an account when they investigate my IP+Mac address tied to it, since they usually ban other accounts aswell.

It would be really rare to get chain-banned in this situation, I acknowledge that. But the way I play RS is kinda rough. I play a lot, tick-manipulate and be macro-efficient. And it consumes a lot of my time. I have long-term plan on the account. Like skilling till 2k+ total, getting 1B bank for max gear except TBow. Raids, etc. And maxing this time, since the account I sold was close to it.
Already got optimal Poh, would be kinda "sad" to switch accounts to an actual "brand new one", if I'd create one right now, if Jagex demands me to have a new account after the RWT has happened and doesn't allow me to use old ones.
Because I'm not even sure would it still get banned or would even my new main get banned in the first place. Don't feel safe now, didn't feel safe back then when I owned the account I sold. Because I couldn't recover it.

This is kinda same situation again, I feel I can't progress any further since I always run this risk of losing my progress after maybe thousands of hours of playtime. Last time it was the failed recovery questions and fear of getting hacked, this time it's that I can get banned.

It didn't come to my mind when I didn't know about my friend's rule-breakings and when I considered starting over again with that 700~ total account after I had sold my main. So my new account was my attempted alt account.
And I also didn't think of the possibility of it getting banned due to RWT. But I don't know would a new account have gotten banned also from this same IP, and I wouldn't use a vpn. When I'm not IP-banned or anything like that.

Went a bit of rambling, and even more after this point.

Know plenty of people who have gotten banned and made a new account from the same IP of course. But I don't know many cases where their other accounts were kept and they started over again with an old one/alt.
It has been usually AFTER THE RWT ban, when they started to play again. But I have started to play again before I have gotten banned.

My friend makes a lot of mistakes also, and breakes the rules a lot. My IP's tied to one of his alts since he has shared one of them with me. And of course that alt is tied to the sold account.
So whatever he does, like RWT's more but gets banned and investigated because he has that many "decent/good accounts". Then Jagex could suspect him buying the accounts, check me and ban my accounts also and his.

I should be running really low risk of getting banned in my own opinion, but I want to know do I even run a risk. I know anybody can't say for sure here, but I didn't even find anecdotal cases regarding a similar situation like this. Most people have made a new one after the ban or bought gold/botted which are kinda different. It's still RWT though, yes. Some kept their other ones, some didn't.

Would like to know can I continue playing, and this would be a really big relief. I'm not that far into the new account, 95 construction, few 80s, 90s, and like 300m cash rest.
To me it's not like balls deep yet, but I wouldn't probably continue if I can't be 100% sure I'm safe in a situation where he gets banned and I could get banned also for selling the account.
Probably want to be even that sure, I have considered confronting Jagex about RWT and that I use "a new account" nowadays, and ask them is the account safe since it's new. Because I'm not probably perma-banned from their game for that. First time breaking rules under this IP&Mac/pc.
The only thing stopping me is that it would get my friend probably banned if they just check the accounts accessed from my IP and the new ones.
Although my couple friends have logged onto RS on this IP and PC. I have logged only few times from this IP, but couple times from this pc. I'm kinda sure they check mac-address, of course.

I didn't try to hide my RWT at all, because I truly didn't have anything to lose. The guy seemed legit, irl friend and didn't seem like he had broken any rules in the past. Thought he wouldn't have a chance to get banned.

I'm a bit too careful with stuff like that, considering a lot of people just buy accounts and play on them, RWT and what not. But I in the first place sold the main because I had a fear that it would get locked/recovered someday and I was already close to max and used to play 70 hours a week.
Was a lifestyle and got rid of the account. Later started a new one, just to be 100% safe. Even test-recovered it, and felt really good for finally being in the clear. Until I remember that I had sold the account and this WHAT IF-scenario occurred in my mind.

Since this is a more unique case, I wanted peoples opinions regarding this one. I truly appreciate from bottom of my heart anybody who read even some parts of this long text. It's not that well put together, so it can be a pain to read.
I want to move this huge bolder from my heart, I don't feel safe playing but I love this game so much that I don't want to stop. Kinda depressed over the fact.
And in this particular case not even making a new account would probably help, or maybe is not even needed. So until something happens I feel like I can't play the game. Since it's always a chance.

I appreciate every comment a lot.
