Possible to stake with these stats?

119 + 9 Combat (128 out of wildy)

99 Attack
99 Strength
76 Defence
99 HP
99 Magic
99 Ranged
95 Prayer
68 Summoning

I know absolutely NOTHING about staking, and figured that if I wanted to get into staking that I would have to make a new account. A friend of mine on RS who has similar stats to mine (the ones above ^), has been doing rapier stakes lately and winning tons of cash.

I am curious to know whether I can do any sort of staking on this account, or whether I should just create a new account or max out my old main and use him for box staking.

Technically you can stake on any account..buttt yes that account is great for staking. Not sure about rapier staking becuase of the low defence, but mage boxing and boxing.. should be fine.. I know it'd own at boxing becuase if you're low combat with those stats (no more than 120ish) you can probably box max accs for 2x even though you're maxing in everything but def/pray/summon

 

Would it be good at boxing? I always thought a good boxing build was like 99/80/99 or just flat 99's.

I am also going to edit my OP to include my combat level, as I completely forgot to include that. Unfortunately with the summoning, my CB is rather high outside of wilderness

 

you can still box.. just box people that are within your combat level and not the maxed.. like w2, they're broken into sections like mage boxing in 1, boxing in another, rapiers at end, etc.. and also by levels.. like the lower levels are in the building etc.. so just find people that are boxing your level and box them. Try it out with a couple mil and see how you do. Also you'll need to know about PID if rap staking.

Can you tell me anything about PID? I sort of know what it is, as I've heard other people discussing it before, but just assume I know nothing about it. Like I said, I really don't know a damned thing about staking I think I had better learn before I go and start risking all my cash.

Possible...but, you can end up dying a lot. Make sure you stake someone with nearly the same def as you...although that's almost impossible to find.

 

on that account u can stake, but you will probs want your def up. but also you can mage box where def really doenst have an effect. OR if you are doing rapier you can try to get people to do 1.5x or 2x the bet because of your low def which in the end will pay out in your favor.

I had a zerker friend who did the rapier thing...first few weeks of stakin he was making 400m a day doing rapier with his 45 def and makin them do 2x...then he got cleaned...moral is walk away and in general staking is not a long term profitable thing

 

Don't listen to this guy he got all wrong. In boxing low strength is the way to go, you either get an edge out of PiD (which is preparing your account so that you attack first) or build an account with good boxing stats.
For rapier staking defence makes little difference, the attack bonus on the rapier is so high that the edge a player with max stats has over you won't surpass the "first hit" edge, so if you are going to match someone with rapier make sure he hasn't got 99 strength ( as you may know his attack and your defence have the same effect).

 

It's possible to stake with any stats as long as you can find someone with the same/very similar stats.

 

I had that issue of not being maxed, I would just stand in the middle of staking and i would say : Boxing X Xdef-

 

You can rap stake if you have dungeon or else mage box would be your best bet

I may look into rapier staking people of the same stats with me, or getting maxed people to 2x the bet as many of you suggested. I will look into mage boxing too, as it appears many of you think that could turn out to be successful

 

Sorry to say, you can't. At your combat level, there are peoples have maxed melee stats, putting you at a huge disadvantage.

I can always turn my old main into a maxed boxer if I have to, as he is pretty close already.
