If you look in the news section, user education was switched for 'Community Support' (a whole new section)
http://sythe.org/showthread.php?p=8494337

Essentially it is this. We're "rebranding" User Education, so to speak. We've moved some of the sections around, added some newer stuff, etc. All of the changes are outline in the second thread Rawrasaurus pointed out.

In a drastic and extensive change, the ''User Education'' concept has been removed from the site. In its place, we bring you Community Support, a collection of forums in which Sythe.org users can seek assistance in a number of ways not only from other users but also Community Assistants, who will be available to answer questions, assist new users, and generally be available to help out.

Within the forum, we have a selection of sections:

  • Community Support Applications
Users can apply to become a member of the Community Support team here.
  • Community Submitted Guides
Guides on a wide range of topics made by the community can be posted here and are available to all.
  • Personal Support
Users that wish to seek personal support can do so here, be it support regarding their friendships, relationships, personal health, etc. We also allow users to anonymously solicit support here.
  • Technical Support/Help Requests
Allows the community to seek technical support and more here.
  • Sythe.org Questions and Answers
Section for users to help eachother out with Sythe.org issues and answer eachother's common queries.
  • Homework Help
Self-explanatory: a section where the community can help eachother with homework.

I think it would be even more helpful if people could post threads where they can ask questions. How does it help if people can't ask their own questions in the Sythe.org support?

I'm pretty sure that is the point of this section, so you can ask your own questions. Simply go to the index of the section, select "New Thread" and begin.

EDIT: It appears that the permissions for posting in that section were incorrect for the general userbase, but this seems to have been rectified and fixed by SMR. For futher information or issues please read here: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1087846
