What would you like to see from the PR team?

NO troll comments, suggestions, or negative feedback against PR will not be tolerated on this thread. This thread is mainly for PR to brainstorm & utilize the communities suggestions for PR.

As the title says, any suggestions that you think would help out the PR team, or how do you think PR should be moving forward in terms of Events, Social media ideas, and overall recruitment ideas.

Our mission is to attract new users to the community.
The way we try to do this is through mediums like social media or any off site advertising we can get. We also try to ensure that we are able to retain new members and ease their integration into the community as best as possible. This includes teaming up with the CDT in events and giveaways, and attempting to advertise them to newer members.

How do I know if I'm qualified?
What we are looking for is simple. We want people that are trustworthy and honest but can also devote time to the team.
We need to see that you are an active member of the community and are willing to help us in our mission.
We need to be able to trust you with handling Sythe's social media platforms.
Good communication skills are a great asset.
Experience with social media/advertising are a plus.
We are looking for active streamers and GFX suppliers.

Congrats on the rankup to leader But i'd love to see PR do an event with CDT. Could even spin it so that most invites to the official Sythe discord (that are legit) could place top 3? :shrug: Just a thought

 

I would love to see Instagram polls via the Instagram story system being utilized for trivia w/ a reward from a sponsor or something like this. Would help grow the Instagram, which in turn helps grow the site. The challenge would be making the trivia interesting enough to where non-sythe users would want to participate in the trivia and hopefully eventually join the site.

 

I agree with hope, we should do some sort of event. Maybe a game or invite sort of thing

 

Maybe some content to help maintain the new members we get. It seems that we have a certain % of newcomers that are screwed or completely blindsided by imposters. Maybe having PR reach out with the side of the community that interacts with our website but doesn't actually make an account or get fully involved right away. I mean may be a little out of the way of normal duties, but could be beneficial in finding key pieces of a future community.

aren't members but if we can find a way for PR to get them to read and understand the fkn discord disclaimers and warnings we have stickied. they obviously are able to get on site and find members that are selling gold. just something to think about

 

A few things I'd like to point out as part of this brainstorm:

• We need a way to retain the interest of new users. Most users sign up only to never log in again. This seems to be one of the biggest issues when recruiting.
• We need to utilize trending games/events to bring people here. Examples of this would be WoW expansion (Classic coming out), Apex (which we've created a sub for), esports tournaments etc. As these games are currently hot, the PR team needs to reach out to the that audience and bring them in. Use reddit, youtube, instagram whatever you can get your hands on.
• Hold PR members liable for x amount of work. In the past, PR members were not really being told what to do, or rather, delegated work. Assign them tasks and make sure they get it done.
• Have team meetings and gather ideas as a team. Brainstorming with the community is a good first step; you guys should talk to each other like CDT and come up with events to do.

I'll add more suggestions and thoughts later on, but this should give you guys a general direction.

 

I totally agree with Gen about one point - Sythe needs to after other popular games. I don't think Apex/Fortnite might be suitable as audiences there are completely different from what we have on Sythe, but I think upcoming WoW Classic expansion is one of the best opportunities Sythe will ever have to get into WoW.

PR team needs to gather as much info on how things are working in WoW community and create a plan for Classic.

 

i think miniranks as rewards from the community event will be incentive for alot more people to participate.

 

Couldn't agree more here. The WoW expansion seems like it would fit perfectly here.

 

Youtube advertising, do a simple "sythe" or "runescape black market" search on youtube, you won't get much linking back to this site compared to how big of a platform sythe actually is.
