    Your views of America?

I was born in Chicago. Guess I can call myself a city-boiiii. I've had many European friends, some of my best mates, who HATED USA. They hated the people, the way things run, and whatever else. I was brainwashed by them and thought the same for many years (I'm German, can speak it, and they were Polish if that matters, ha). Their not my friends anymore, and so I've come to realize that I live in one of the greatest cities in the USA! Downtown Chicago is truly.. amazing. I do love it, many businessman walking around, hottt chicks, and lots of homeless people begging for shit. Other than that, the waters, South Loop, Lake Shore Ave, etc is really sick, so many cool things.

My ultimate view of America is really, well, it's not the best thing on Earth and def not the worst. There's good and bad in every single country in the world so America fits right in. I however, do not stand people from the South. No hate towards them.. but I can't fucking stand how they act. Maybe it's because I was raised in the city, who knows. If you really think about it.. America has everything. Electronics and stuff that you buy is insanely cheaper then it would be in Europe or wherever else, many "big parks" like 6 Flags, Wisconsin Dells, Las Vegas <3, California, I mean the list goes on.

I know I might be saying shit that doesn't matter, but it's what I see and tell others that aren't from the states, you know?

What are your views of America? I'm going to get the feeling that many people that do not live in the states will bash and say we're all fat, ugly, lazy, etc. Although you must be a complete retard to think that's really how it is.

Other countries don't like us because when they come to our country they're disrespected and depicted as "alien". We go to other countries, they treat us that exact way.

All countries in my opinion are equal, the exact same, we all treat each other with the same disrespect in one another country.

Anyone here can come talk negative about America, their country has just the same issues.

I live in California. I personally don't like how America is being ran. I think that we personally brought it on outselves by calling them "Aliens" like you said. It's a shame that countries look at eachother like this. :/

WOW, inb4 someone flames america excessively with ignorant comments. Im from texas, i have some european friends who think im some sort of exception.. i dont like how the country is being run either but im not going to sit around and talk shit about it like most people will. The fact is americans are portrayed like shit all over the world and we dont do ourselves any favors with all the horrible reality tv we pump out. Most people are just ignorant and passing judgment, US is a world power we have a target on our backs.

Living in Vancouver there was a huge amount of people who hated this country for absolutely no reason. It frustrated me. Especially since, after moving here, I love the country. The best people I have ever met in my entire country and to be honest.. I just fucking hate generalizations.

Well, no county is perfect. The problem in America is the Government, not the people. (The majority of the time).

I believe it's both at times, America is full of people who only care about themselves. I am American also, and noticed how poverty is getting worse in what is supposed to be the richest country in the world. But it's been the same for years, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

How does this differ from any country? Everywhere is full of those who only care about themselves. It's human nature.

    Your views of America?

America has slowly gone to shit since John F. Kennedy died in my opinion. We're trillions of dollars in debt, and we've been in wars that don't apply to us. Our government funded Osama Bin Laden, and Suddam Hussein in the 60s and look where that led. We've been in the middle east borrowing trillions of dollars to fund a war that doesn't apply to us, when we could just as easily use those funds to pay to drill our own oil. We put thousands of our brave men and women of our military at risk to "protect," while in reality, it seems as if we're the predominant power that's causing this crap. Our country doesn't seem to care about what the people think about voting because in the end the electoral college selects and puts that president into power. They can over-rule the people's vote, so why vote? Our presidents have done nothing but put us farther into a hole that we dug. We're piling more and more money onto our children's generations, and the cycle keeps going. In my opinion, America doesn't apply to the United States. It applies to the continents as a whole, south and north. Our country is spending billions to keep marijuana illegal when they could be making billions legalizing it in all 50 states. Our views are pretty much rightwing, and don't take the people's voices into consideration. Look at who's running for president for fucks sake. Mitt Romney? He would never be able to lead a nation as corrupt as this one. I've summed up my opinion, and this is how I feel about The United States. The people deserve to have a voice, yet the leaders will do anything to shut them up. This country is falling to shit.

    Your views of America?

I'm sure in general, the people of america are nice people, there are good and bad in every country. However, the "rulers" of the states are disgusting. Now the problem is, when the masses of the US support their leaders that rape other countries, kill millions of innocent men, women and children, solely for economic gains, some people see that as the people being evil. When really the rulers have a way of manipulating the people of american into thinking any act of war they embark on is justified. For instance, your average american doesn't even know what the Gulf of Tonkin incident is, but it accounted for the deaths of 58,000 US citizens. Then there's your WMD and WTC.

Consider this. The war in Iraq was waged wholly upon false accusations. Whether you agree with your governments excuses for this or not, isn't relevant. The taxpayers have/will pay 1 trillion USD for that war, not the government, not the corporations that made billions off the way, but the taxpayers. You, your children, your children's children. For a country that is meant to be the biggest, richest, most powerful in the world, the U.S has the biggest debt in the entire world, the States are continually borrowing money from China.

Now most of you will probably view the Iraq war as a failure, right? That's true. It was a failure, for the people. The people will never benefit from war, ever. But put yourself in the shoes of your government, or the corporations, they will always benefit. Iraq, debatably, has the biggest oil fields in the world. When the US takes the country to pieces bit by bit, puts in a puppet government, and leaves the country in ruins, they make trillions. Also consider the fact that Halliburton's were paid to rebuild Iraq? How nice of the US to rebuild the country, so thoughtful, no. Re-think that, and consider why they did that.

Now consider the oil companies, and Halliburton, Blackwater Worldwide, all the arms manufacturers, Rolls Royce, BAE Systems, the people that love war and make billions upon billions from it. They will not pay for the war, but they sure as hell will reap the benefits of it. Who will pay for it? The people with their pockets, and their lives.

So I'll end to say, I deteste the states, their lies, corruption and greed. The US are the biggest mass murderers, backstabbers and terrorists in the world. It's only been 60 years since they hung blacks and burned 'em.
I also deteste my country, the UK. I'm a human being, not a person. The real terrorists are the United States, not the people, but the rulers and the rich, when they bomb and destroy innocent countries and people, they cause anti-america sentiment; if the Iraqi's weren't anti-american, "terrorists" before the war, then they sure as hell are now, and who could blame them?

Since 1945, the US has attempted to overthrow more than 50 foreign governments. That's 50 peoples' that have reason enough to deteste everything America stands for.

Everything I've said, is 100% fair, and 200% fact, it cannot be challenged. I'm not biased nor stupid, I can think outside the box. I'm not supporting my own country either, because the UK is just as bad. Humanity is foul, and we aren't worth of the planet we live on. It's true, if we live, Earth will die, but if we die, Earth will live. There was a very nice quote to sum that up, can't remember who wrote it. :p

    'I'm not anti-America, America is anti-me'

Wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
I would much rather be born here, than be a born as a child starving in a 3rd world country that will only live to be 20.

I'm loling at some of the kids above me who took a couple high school history classes and think they know every single thing about the government and that they know how to run a country. It also made me laugh even harder that some of you guys don't even live here and are saying such ignorant things.

    Just my thoughts.

    Your views of America?

No offence, but you are reminiscent of your typical ignorant, sheep-like american.
Firstly, history isn't something you'll find in textbooks. So you're wrong there.

Secondly, if the states are being governed oh so well, why the hell are you guys in trillions upon trillions of dollars in debt?

Thirdly, that's the whole point. You are a typical american in denial. You pay taxes, and your government uses them to kill children, against your will. You are enslaved, and polls don't change that. If that's not reminiscent of a dictatorship, then what is? You are trained to agree with everything that your country does, you're in a bubble.

Maybe you are just greedy and selfish. Maybe you agree with your government terrorizing other peoples'. That's fine, there are many foul people in this world, that's how wars are waged. Whichever, just wake up to that, don't live in denial.

I might not be american, but I have the sense to see that even my country is governed by pigs. Where is the bias in that?

The only ignorant person is you sir, do you even know what the word means? You just ignored legitimate responses and denounced everyone as "kids" yet weren't worthy of constructing a logical response, rather ill-educated words from an ill-educated tongue.

    Not at all.

Not all countries treat their tourists with disrespect, in fact, many asian counties are known for being very hospitable.
I find you very ignorant for saying that.

    Your views of America?

    Reasons to hate America:

    - Excessive use of oil (Something has got to keep these big'ol trucks fired up though)
    - Our president, ahem excuse me - PRESIDENTS, WILL and DO lie to us constantly (But we believe in anything, so how can you blame them)
    - Everything is "Too harsh" or "Abuse" or "Unlawful", so now you can't discipline anyone without getting a lawsuit. (But you can give them a stern talkin' to, that'll teach em)
    - Our Education system blows, people are getting dumber. Primarily because most kids fuck around and want to look cool in school. And then they can't be punished like they should, so they just continue (ISS for 3 days isn't a punishment).
    - I predict that this new generation is going to consist of pretty much nothing but single mothers and high debt baby's daddys (And dadless babies, but who cares about them). Party, sex, xanax, and beer though 4 life.
    - Our crime rates are just outrageous
    - We have to pay for all those scum bag hood rats to rot in prison.
    - Every radio station plays something about "jockin bitches and slippin em dat dick", if it's not that then it's non-sense shit about "Riding on disco sticks" or whatever.
    - The Jersey Shore style has become our national icon. Seriously, when I was still in school - People couldn't tell me when the Declaration of Independence was signed, but they knew in detail everything that happened with the situation last week.
    - If it's not Jersey Shore, It's Pawn shop shows, or a repo show, simple stuff to keep our minds pumped with distraction.
    - Pretty much every city consists of McDonalds, Taco Bell, and a beer shop. Because that's what we're known for, get at us.

    On the contrary though....

    Reasons to love America:

    TEX-MEX!!!!!!!!

I'm from Canada, and I have nothing at all against Americans. But I must admit that I do often buy into the stereotype of the "dumb, redneck American." And I can tell you that from living in another country, American tends to have a fairly bad reputation, mostly because of the government >_<

I've been to the United States a few times though and all the people that I've met have been really cool. And back in my graduation year when I went to Cancun over Spring Break, I met a TON of really awesome American kids that we ended up partying with all week and hanging out with all day. My personal view of America is not a bad one :)

Well, sir, if you didn't know, its there ironically. It makes fun of scammers like you. Even if it was there accidentally, is there a reason that you call me out like that?

Ok, so there is a sport already called football.
What is the reason that it is called football?
You use neither your feet nor a spherical ball. I have nothing against america, I was just defending the rest of the world from being classified as disrespectful.

Floyd got the same views for certain things, those things I kept on this quote, rest I erased.

Things he missed out that I hate about is,

    - I find the people to be disrespectful and full of themselves
    - No free health care (sucks for the poor)

America I find is still a nice place to visit but definitely not settle.
