what were you doing on 9/11 when the tragedy happened?

I was in 4th grade, sitting in a GT class and my teacher had the radio on. At the time I had never heard of a terrorist for some reason. So I had no idea what happened until a few hours later.

I was in school, i got picked up by my cousin and my mom, and then stayed at home my mom was on the phone the whole day and the news channel was on all day. Thank god no one in my family died or anyone I knew

but it was a tragic day for everyone even me and RIP all the victims.

By the way I live in Brooklyn, so I saw the smoke from my window it was crazy.

The 1993 bombings from the AL QUEDA were proven to be true bombings. *HINT HINT* The Al Queda have been targetting the World Trade Center which represents the power of the United States - why would our leader destroy something that represents so much?

 

I was in elementary school that day. I had no day it happened for quite a while, I don't know how I missed it.

 

My parents were driving me to see the twin towers. No seriosuly, i was so pissed off at the terrorist's i almost smashed the window of my car.

Coincidence - American Airlines happened to be losing money at the time which is why the price of tickets went up and they had to cut many pilots.
- Firefighters telling onlookers "There's a bomb in the building, clear the area".

- Firefighters shouting to each other about a secondary device.

- Multiple news/eyewitness reports about secondary explosions (some at regular intervals).
I wouldn't be suprised of secondary explosions, keep in mind these are JUMBO jets that flew into the center. Also WHAT IF there were suicide bombers inside the tower who had bombs strapped to their chest who ignited them inside the towers? Do you know how easy that could have happened. There are so many different reasons why it could have happened, and the government planting bombs is a highly unlikely reason which is why its funny how people choose that.
- Puffs of smoke coming from the sides of the two main towers.
Do you KNOW EXACTLY what happens when a Jumbo Jet smashes inside a huge metal object in the mid air? Well they have huge fuel tanks, easy to explain.
- Passports surviving the inferno of the collapsing towers unscathed, and the subsequent discovery that their owners were still alive.
Are you saying they hopped off the plane before it exploded? Or that it wasn't a damn plane that hit the towers?... Or MAYBE.. Its an office building, there are SO many reasons why someone would bring their passports in there.

- BBC reporting that Tower 7 had collapsed 26 minutes before it actually did.
Is the news always right? Point explained.. 30% of the time they are unaccurate. But its funny how EVERY other news station recorded the CORRECT time.

How cute - highly unprobable. You would have been in school, since your in eastern time. It was a weekday, one of your 'parents' would most likely have been at work, and if your school for some reason started even later then the bombings, its highly unlikely you would've gone to spectate the towers. So yeah I have my doubts about that lol.

 

Generally, firefighters don't just spit out the first thing that comes to mind. If the fire chief says "there's a bomb in the building" then they've probably found a bomb. You see, experts who deal with these situations need to keep a cool head.

It is sad to see how sad and ill-informed you are about 9/11, but there is no need to insult people and get defensive about something that didn't effect you just to look sympathetic.

 

I have to admit, at 5 I had greater knowledge that an average 5 year old. Back to the topic.


I was woken up by my father because he wanted me to see something on the news. This was right before school. I went into the room and everyone assumed it to be an accident. They reported this before the second plane hit. I asked him if there were other firefighters helping. He said that there was probably some from other cities and New Jersey. I headed off to school when the second plane hit. When it hit our principal announced it. She said that it was an apparent terrorist attack. At around 10:10 she announced the crash of United Airlines Flight 93. We took a moment of silence for the casualties and their families. It was a tragic day. I didn't understand most of it at the time but I know it now. It was not our government. Al Qaeda had attempted an attack before, NOT OUR GOVERNMENT. I think that it is preposterous that people think the government did it. Here's some knowledge to know, gravity makes things go DOWN. I think that the floors were falling before the building, thus making debris shoot out of the windows. This is my hypothesis on this.

 

What if that was a Rookie? I have friends who just went into firefighting and are firefighters. I wouldn't doubt in a highly stressful situation they would spit out a phrase like that. If the bomb was that easy to be found in a matter of minutes, don't you suspect someone would've said something as they walked in the towers for work. People went to the towers daily for work, if they saw a device with a bunch of wires in a place that has never had it there before, I'm sure SOMEONE, even a military vet would know, that is a bomb, and would have said something. Fire fighters were MORE concerned about getting the people out, rather then looking for bombs that must have been pretty hidden.

Suicide bombers? Such a thing was not part of Al Qaeda's plot. Even if that were the case, though, wouldn't the government point it out?

Fail. The FBI found a passport a short distance away from the WTC, and claimed that it belonged to one of the hijackers. This was widely considered further evidence of Al Qaeda's involvement until the alleged hijacker was discovered alive in Saudi Arabia.

It's a pretty odd mistake for BBC to make. It's almost as if they knew that tower 7 was going to fall.

 

I was asleep, as I am in New Zealand. I started watching the news just after the rist plane hit.

 

Saying "what if..." in a rebuttal USUALLY isn't a good idea.

If you want to be taken seriously, show facts. There were explosions reported in the basement BEFORE the first plane hit.
