Hey guys, My name is Kyle, and I am a Christian.

I just wanted to open up a thread, and maybe we can talk, and go deep into things. I would love to talk to you, and answer any questions. Don't be afraid. I'm not the typical nerd that plays games all day, and wierd guy. I love having fun and messing around but I can be serious too.

Why are you a christian?

 

How can you believe, and be so sure about something, when there is so much evidence and contradictory to suggest it is all just fiction?

 

Why would you not be a Christian?

Well holy, so your saying you shouldn't believe because you don't see him?

 

You said you wanted a discussion and I'm pretty sure a discussion is where you go back and forth so why should I add your MSN and not talk here.

 

No, I'm talking about all the contradictions in the bible, and how God claims to be omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient, yet there is still a whole lot of pain and suffering in this world.

If He loves us so much
If He knows everything
If He is all powerful

Why doesn't he do something about it?

 

Okay.
Know the story of Adam and Eve?
God made them first, gave them orders not to eat outa that tree. They did, and now Sin is in the world.

God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, so when we die and accept Jesus in our heart, we will go to Heaven and not Burn in hell.

Yes, there is bad stuff in this world, but Having Jesus in your heart, and becoming one of his Deciples will make your life better. No he can not make it perfect, untill you are with him and out of this sinful world.


And Gohan. I am a christian because I want to go to Heaven and worship Lord Jesus and not burn in hell for eternity. God created us and everything in the world. He is almighty.

Both of you go on youtube, type in Everything skit - lifehouse. Watch that skit, and God and the sins pushing God away, then when you have Jesus in your life he pushes all the sins away.

Where is your proof that he created everything? -.-

 

A friend of my mums recently was Baptised and now attends church. Ever since then, everything has been going badly. Her 6 year old son has fallen ill (On his birthday), and money is becoming even more of a struggle. It seems to have had the opposite effect.

Has the "ALMIGHTY" scientiest proved the Bible wrong? NO, they can't. They are trying so hard to.

You have to have faith. I might not get you to believe, but why believe in nothing? Why not have God a part of your life. See him at the gates of Heaven when you die. He is not a false God, like all those others. How do I know that? Faith. You have to believe. It's not like Santa Clause.

Do you believe in Wind? Do you see it? NO you don't. Do you feel it? Yes. But you don't see it but it's there? Exactly.

Not being rude at all, just making points and I would really love to help you understand more if you wana go into detail.

 

So then why is your God the right one out of all the other Gods in the world?

 

Holy, not everything goes right man. I am a Christian and stuff happens like that. You have to sit back and pray to God. Maybe God wanted the Son to come up to him early. But I mean, I would love to tell you guys verses, or answer more questions.
I went on a mission trip to Uruguay. 2 day flight. If I didin't believe so strongly in the Lord, I would not fly there to spread the Gospel for 10 days. We went with a group of 70. Tons of fun.

 

Good point. Why is our God not a false God? Do the other Gods have a Bible? Do they have any proof? Do they have scientiest trying to prove them wrong? No.

I mean it's faith man. Tell me why you don't believe.
It's not a Fat Budha statue we worship on our Knees and give our wealth to it.

Believing in God is one sacrifice and that is it. You Surrender that you are a sinner and Jesus died for us and we are wanting our sins to be gone. We want Jesus to come into our life.

He wants nothing else, but to become part of him, and spread the Word around.
He doesn't want Money, clothes, blood, anything silly.

He wants your soul, and your life over to him.
You should try Church man, or reading the Bible.
