Buying a 3DS

So I've been debating for a week about buying a 3DS XL and I can't decide. There seems to be some really cool games coming out soon with Smash Brothers and all coming soon. Would any owners recommend it? Also I am not interested in buying a Vita, so please don't say that.

I am not buying one from anyone on here. I am just looking for opinions on if it is worth the ~$200.

 

I just bought mine to play Pokemon Y.

I know people who use their 3DS a fair amount. It doesn't look like Nintendo will be releasing a new product anytime soon so might as well

 

I bought one and Bravely Default. I have put 10 hours in BD already, it is excellent besides the shitty StreetPass tacked on shit and the option to buy MicroTransactions.

 

I wouldn't say it's worth it,,, I have 3ds and well it's like the same thing as a normal ds

 

Not really. There is an ever expanding library of games. I can play both DS and 3DS games which is cool. I like it.

 

I've played my friends 3ds once, I'd say it's worth the money. It's a blast to play mario kart 7? on it.

 

It's decent I only played pokemon on my friends one tho.

 

I get really bad eye-ache whenever I have to look at something in 3d, so I decided to buy the 2DS (which was like 50 bucks cheaper than the 3DS here) and I can't say I'm disappointed with it.
I really like the E-shop, just buy games, download them and play without even switching the cartridge.

 

If you have any intention of playin Smash bro's competitively I wouldn't pick up a DS with the hopes of it being so

As a party game i'm sure it will be great though, i'm waiting for sm4sh mods more than actuual sm4sh lol.

I'm not sure what else i'd even pick up on there personally, I got a soft modded wii so just get most nintendo things on that.

 

I am not going to be playing competitive smash bros. I am not really all that much into fighting games.

I've sunk nearly 40 hours into Bravely Default though. It is very entertaining.

 

If your playing anything competitively do not buy a DS, DS is soley for Mario and Pokemon.

 

I've played my DS since I got it right after posting the op around 75 hours. None of which was mario or pokemon games. -.-

30ish on Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and 40ish on Bravely Default. Next game on the list is Etrian Odyssey IV and then Inazuma 11.

 

i got the regular one when it came out, pokemon x/y is great, zelda the ocarina of time, and super mario 3d land it awesome. id recommend it alot
