What will you be building?

I know there is a general thread going but this is more specific.

As it's likely the new '07 server will be up; what will you be making?

At first thought, I wanted to rush a pure. But now thinking about what the economy will be like, I'm opting for a main. Think about the start of the game, there will be no coins. The cost of items will be incredible. Most people will rush alching to make quick profit on items.

The first people to 85 slayer will control the economy with charging astronomical prices on whips. By having a main, you'll be able to go to barrows untouched. Imagine the prices of barrows items, furys, dragon or even rune.

Anyone else remember when a rune set was 200k?

I can't wait for this. Skilling which actually be valuable again. The first mage logs, sharks, mage bows, rune sets.

 

I'll probably begin a range pure, maybe turn it into a range tank.

 

Haha that post gave me memories. I remember playing on the day when the first person got to 85 slayer and was making a crapload from selling the first whips.

I might make a main, if I even play.

 

I'll make a main if I decide to start playing which is very likely. ^_^

 

I'll probably make one also purely for Barrow's gear.

 

I'll grab a longsword, poke with stab, and get even stats lol. Probably going to be too p00r for arrows and shiz.

 

The prices will be high when the servers are first released, trust me.

 

To be honest im not really that crazy about making a pure, i just aim to revisit the prime days of runescape and enjoy the gameplay, start a main and enjoy myself like i did back in 2007.

I used to do everything, a average normal player, particularly enjoyed doing clue scrolls xD and finding money-making methods.

I may make a pure in future, but i doubt it, i look forward to being a fresh main in a fresh new community.

You should start out one defense though, much more enjoyable, you get to PK along the way, once you've maxed one defense, head into making a Zerker.

yeah i used to bot monsters for the clue scroll drops, then once i got one i would turn bot off, do the clue, then reset.

It finally paid off when i got rangers boots from a level 2 clue scroll when they were 22m xD. other than that had alot of clue scrolls worth a few mill each.

I'm making a zerker, and going to be doing slayer out my ass and getting 85 slayer for abby demons, as whips will be one of the best weapons, if not the best in the game.

So getting 85 slayer will be worth the time.

 

I will be making a skiller, and some sort of main.

 

A skiller? C'mon Elena, don't you want to be out in the old-school Wildy?

 

Which is why i have no plans on spending gp on runes and arrows lol. If you think about it, an addy long isn't that much worse than a rune long, and costs like Ten times less, so i'll be able to get that pretty easily.

Then i'll go to ZMI altar (if it exists) and farm rune scims from the zamorak warriors XD. I remember making 20k per hour (that was ALOT) back in liek 2008.

EDIT: Nvm zammy warriors came out in September.

There are those barbarian spirit guys in the waterfiend dungeon that also drop rune scimitars however.

I'll probably be going with 70-75 defence barrows pure. I am interested to see how they decide to make this server. If they start with zero coins in the economy that will be very interesting. Also interested to see how the economy and trading will be without the grand exchange with minimal coins in the economy.
