    Virtual Machines

Hey everyone, have you ever wondered "is it possible to auto on 2 accounts at once on the same computer?" well i have found the solution. some of you may of heard of it before, it is called a Virtual Machine.

So, you want to set up a Virtual Machine ey? well your going to need this:
    * VMware workstation 6, to download a trial version, click here and fill out the instructions.
    * BitTorrent - for downloading TinyXP
    * TinyXP Beast Edition - click on the green "Diese Torrent Datei herunterladen" words to start downloading
    * A burning program of some sort (Nero)
    * A blank CD - You can't download one of these :\

Once you have installed VMware Workstation (now referred to as VMW) open up BitTorrent and add a new file (the green + and add the TinyXP Beast Edition.TOR if you couldn't guess). It takes a while to download but it's worth the wait - so don't give up!

when it is finished, open up DeepBurner and choose the Burn an ISO image option. add the file you downloaded (TinyXP Beast Edition.iso (it looks like a winRAR file, but it isn't.)) then put in your BLANK CD and start burning at the lowest possible speed.

when it is finished, open up VMW and click on New Virtual Machine
    Then click:
Custom > Next > Microsoft Windows > Version XP Pro
Processors: 1 (even if you have a Dual Core Procesor)
    Memory to allocate: 256MB
Use NAT Networking > Next > New Virtual Disc > Next
    Disc Size: Leave at 8GB
Name it something if you want.
    Press Finish!

Now put the TinyXP CD into your computer and press the play button, click Continue if somethng pops-up wait for it to load and choose NTFS (Quick) for the formatting.

When it's finished, click VM > Install VMware Tools then start downloading Java, SCAR, ETC.

    Enjoy using your Virtual Machine!

Hard to set up? ROFL and Nexus Free edition sucks big time its way slower then SCAR and has less scripts then SCAR.

You don't necessarily need VMWare. I find Microsoft Virtual PC much simpler and easier to use. It's a free download from Microsoft's website, use the search button.

Well, in VMware, when you open it you can get on 2 or more Virtual Operating systems at once by making a 'clone' (you can switch between them in tabs).. And you only have to have 1 VMware open which makes it run alot faster than if you had more than 1 VMware open and run VM's on each of them...

So what i was trying to say is, can you get on multiple Virtual Machines by having only 1 of Microsoft's Virtual PC open?

I hope you know what i mean this time :p

Yes, you can run several virtual machines at the same time provided you have enough ram. It's not tabbed though, each one has its own window.

Ty. Not like setting up a vir computer is hard but it was handy to know the specifics, and i know that there would be some people in this community that would really need this guide. Quite computer illiterate if you dont mind me saying so.

I suppose you could do that..

but for those who couldn't be bothered buying a whole new computer / Operating system.. this way is far more easy.
