Scan programs before using.

Scan all programs before you use them.
Even if staff verifies.
The member can edit the post, and post the program with a keylogger/RAT attached.

If you suspect you're infected with a RAT, it is very simple to check out HOW.

To check, close your browser (Mozilla/Safari/IE/GoogleChrome/ETC)
Now, open your task manager.
If you see any of these running, then you are infected. (Make sure you have closed down your current browser)
Firefox.exe
iExplore.exe (NOT EXPLORER.EXE)
Safari.exe
Chrome.exe
- If any are running, do one last check.
Right click the exe that is running.
Click End process, click ok.
If it pops up again. Then you ARE infected.

How to remove:
Step 1: Download Malewarebytes Anti-Maleware + Spybot Search and Destroy
Step 2: Install BOTH, install as an Administrator, or install under Administrator privileges
Step 3: Restart your computer, and press F8 until a new menu comes up. At the top, it should have "Safe-Mode"
Step 4: Run the safemode, give it a few minutes to load properly.
Step 5: Once you log in again, run BOTH Malewarebytes + Spybot S&D

Allow an hour or 2, depending on how many files you have, for a full virus scan.
Whatever they find, remove.

Step 6: Restart your computer.
Step 7: Close down your browser, and if the exe is still there, try to end the process. If it come sback up, go to step 8.
Step 8: Download Kaspersky, install.
Step 9: Reboot in safemode. Scan.

Allow a FEW hours for Kaspersky to completely scan your computer. I suggest doing it overnight.


Tips:
If you THINK your infected, do not enter any passwords.
Remove the virus before you enter passwords or change passwords.
If you WERE infected, you NEED to change EVERY password you have.
In a RAT, they have the option to view your saved passwords. And they can download your saved passwords.

This is meant to HELP people AVOID getting hacked.
Players can be hacked from downloaded programs, which is why I posted it here.
They can also be hacked by people posting links, if you visit a link. A java applet will pop up. Asking to "Run"
Never click run if you do not trust the site owner.

There is a "exploit" that can infect anyone who visits a site, without them knowing it.
Just be aware and always check if you're infected!

@about the rat thing, not every1 rat injects into the browser. Injecting into the browser was done so the virus had Internet access. But nowadays its easy to bypass the UAC and Windows Firewall.
