Firstly, "You're". Secondly, there is a difference between receiving something modestly that you are not expecting, and demanding some overpriced object that is meaningless. Hurr durr, your parents put so much love into buying you that expensive piece of junk because you demanded it like the little bitch you are, god it must feel great to feel such love! I mean, they probably spent a long time considering how you'd feel about the present they chose to buy for you.

I fail to see the mental illness, so you're saying that because they don't spent thousands of dollars on me for what is now just a sad excuse for a money spending holiday, they have a mental illness? Regardless of the cost of the gift, they had no fucking clue what to get me, as I didn't tell them anything I wanted, so they spent a long time trying to find something they thought I'd like, and you know what? They succeeded. I'd much rather that feeling then having a console or a laptop or something else I could just buy myself.

 

I wouldn't really try to argue with most of these people, as most just have to grow out of it. Just be happy knowing that you don't need material objects to be happy.

Ask them for cash. First of all, shit will be cheap after christmas, so buy whatever you want then. And don't waste it on videogames, buy something you will be glad you bought ten years down the road.
