Overpricing the obvious?

It has come to my attention that alot of stuff in the general world economy, is overpriced. From gas (a uneccessary "requirment") to runescape account training (a uneccessary "good"). My question, is - is it really worth it? If you think about it, when you work hard for that money, and you earn it - then you spend it on a runescape account - are you really profiting? I would say no, but that's an opinion which I cannot to the fullest extent back up. I'd have to say there is sucessful, and unsucessful rs mongers.
