Eurobasket 2011

For those of you who don't know, the European basketball championship will be held in Lithuania this year. The best of the best will compete, as players want to be part of the upcoming Olympic games in 2012. The tournament looks to be very promising, with many nations having strong lineups. Tip off is August 31. What are your thoughts on who will do good this year? Personally, Spain, Lithuania, Serbia and France look strong and each of these countries could go very far.

 

I would vote for Spain, their 3 point shooting is pretty good and have some guys that can penetrate the defence, they have professional guards and a good PF they could win this thing. Lithuania looks stronger there is some competition this should be exciting to watch.

 

Cool, I won some tickets to a friendly match, sold them and got some good money lol.

Lithuania is really strong this year, with many stars, will see how they will do.

 

Spain does look strong. I think the 2 best teams are Spain and Lithuania

 

I'd go with Spain and Germany, Germany has the best NBA player.

I think Spain is the real favourite, Lithuania in home is also very strong and our fans are crazy so that should give that extra boost when the game gets tough

 

The others aren't that bad either.

He did alright, but Spain only beat Poland by a few points.
