Photoshop

I just downloaded photoshop cs4. It is sooo slow! When I add a color to it, it will take atleast 3 minutes. Does anybody know how to fix this? I'm running vista 64bit,

 

You're computer must be overloaded.

I have a computer that is about 5 months. It runs on windows vista, has five gigs of ram, and 450gb of memory left.

PhotoShop is never laggy for me.

You must have too much downloaded, I suggest using a program like CCleaner to help clean out your PC.

Umm this computer is new.. 4gb ram, over 250gb hardive left. So I don't think that's the problem. I searched on googlre and many people are saying th same thing. Do you have cs4 or cs3?

 

Sorry if this is a double post, I'm not so sure.

Screw with photoshop. I'm using gimp, its much easier for me (I know you guys think photoshop is better).
