Normal computer? It's based on the monitor. Most laptops aren't full HD and not everyone has a full HD monitor if their desktop isn't for intense games and stuff. If it's just for work they might go with a smaller monitor that isn't full HD.

1366x768 to maximise my monitors screen size. I find that 15"6 is good enough, it's not like you need a massive screen.

Desktop I recently added another screen, that one is 1280x1024 at 19". My main screen is 1920x1080 at 24". And my laptop is 1920x1080 at 15.6" :)

I like to have high resolutions so I can put more on the screen. 1920x1080 is has double the amount of pixels as a standard 1366x768 screen. Unfortunately FHD screens on 15.6" are pretty rare, if you want to have that resolution you are forced to buy a high end laptop.

I think 15.6" laptops should really have 1600x900 atleast nowadays and 17" 1920x1080. Oh well, it doesn't botter most people :p

Considering I'm on a laptop the majority of the time, the resolution I'm at is 1280x720.

If I'm ever using my TV as a monitor for whatever reason (mainly just for dual screens), then I'm at 1920x1080.

The laptop does cause some problems in size, especially in MMOs with a lot of buttons.
