What market is bigger OSRS or RS3?

I am thinking about selling Runescape account again, I used to use PlayerAuctions a few years back but unfortunately there website seems to have no way to contact them apart from email.

So i have been looking around different forums been such as Osbot etc but the Runescape market's seems to be pretty dead.

And I've come across Sythe and it seems to have a pretty active market and have a big wide of different game!

So really what my question is, im wanting to do is sell couple RS3 Mains and a 07 Main and pure as well as thinking of making a few accounts to sell.

If you was going to do either of them which one would it be and why?

 

In general, I would say Old School. RS3 does have a market though, but the general interest is in 07. If you have things from both you wanted to sell you might as well try though.

 

OSRS, RS3 is dying and more and more difficult to sell accounts etc. in that market.

 

Old School all day, RS3 is WoWs retarded cousin in law, IMO. The majority of the Runescape player base is in OS, most of the rs3 people play it because they don't know OldSchool is available or they just don't want to relevel everything from 1. Which would be where buying your OS accounts would come in handy.

 

07 - rs3 is garbage WoW wanna be theme

 

07 has a much bigger market for account sales, but you'll want to build a reputation before you start asking for a decent price. I'd personally suggest that you quest/skill for users until you've built some trust within the community.

I thought RS3 was dieing because viewing the market threads there seems to be more active people in OSRS but i did not know if they where just browsing comparing it to people buying if that makes sense

You just have to follow the money. More 07 gold gets traded (in $ value) than RS3, nearly everything else correlates.

Goldfarmers buy accounts to make more gold. Stakers buy accounts to use as mules or to stake. Real World Traders buy accounts to use as mules etc.

RS3 is dying and only has bursts of interest whenever they do a huge PVM update, or double exp weekend etc

osrs is biggest moeder.

 

I sell both 07 and RS3 gold/accounts/items. I've noticed that there was far more demand for 07 gold than there is RS3.

I think it's due to the fact that you can make 5-6m per hour pvming at a medium ish level on RS3 if you're good, but to make that kind of money on 07 you need 91+ runecrafting which the average player is never going to get.

 

^this is one of the biggest reasons for the drop in demand of rs3 gp. Most of the active player base on rs3 is in the end-game, meaning theyre doing all the high level bosses. Telos is about 20-30m/hr if youre any good. Nex AoD is about the same. Its very easy now to make bils on rs3 so you'd be better off focusing on the osrs market. That being said, account sales are based on a good deal of trust, which you don't have. Build up your rep with some skilling, questing, maybe some smaller trades in gp, before you attempt to sell any accounts
