    Shrinking 100% cotton clothes

How many of you guys have had experience in shrinking 100% cotton clothes? I've got a shirt and 2 singlets that I purchased from ASOS which are too big for me (problems trying to gauge what size is best since the arm holes on asos shirts are very small so I was basically forced to get a size up but think I goofed in doing so)

I am aware of the procedure in doing so but I was just wondering if there are any tips/tricks you guys have for me.

Also after pulling the shirt out of the water, should I rinse it out/put it on a spin cycle first since it would literally be dripping wet and I feel like that would be a losing battle trying to dry that - articles I've read did not cover this.

If you put the clothes into the washer and then put in an iron that's plugged in and turned on, it will either shrink your clothes, burn down your house, or both. Let me know what happens when you try it.

Soak the shirts in lime juice. I heard the acidity helps shrink the cotton bro.
