What kind of impact did Sythe.Org have in your life?

I'm still waiting till it has an impact on myself, I'll have to wait for that day.

 

Hmm...

Good:
- Found some really cool people
- Learned how to deal with certain types of people / different situations
- Moderated for 2 - 3 months which was fun

Bad:
- Targeted quite a few times for some stupid Spam Forum e-bullying
- Wasted A LOT of time dicking around on the site doing nothing productive (probably be ranked #1 for hours spend on the site in 2012 if such a counter existed)
- Been banned here and there (some of them perm) but always ended up coming back, majority of the bans were just bullshit and bias

 

Has saved me alot of time posting advertising on other rs gold selling forums. I no longer need to advertise on numerous forums as the traffic i get from here is suffient.

 

Learned a lot.

 

Made me ~11k

It's my spare time focus, so I suppose it changes me as a person.

 

Pretty much zero impact.

I've made some good friends here, and have enjoyed participating in the forum but I can't really say its impacted my real life.

 

It made me a little bit wealthy, apart from that, nothing really.

 

None yet but I'm looking forward to selling/buying Runescape related stuff so hopefully that'll benefit my life in a positive way from all the income

Just discovered sythe not long ago and love it

 

Positive and a negative impact.

Over my time at Sythe I had made a few thousand dollars which was quite a bit when I was in highschool. It helped me pay for my car, girlfriend, all that jazz. That and I met a lot of chill people on Sythe and had a good time. These were definitely positive.

On the other side, when I first started on Sythe I was in like 7th-8th grade and I spent an unreasonable amount of time on the site. Honestly, it kept me from socializing how I should of and I ended up in my room, on Sythe and Runescape way-too-much.

 

Dang you seem to have been on sythe for quite a few years!

Definitely a positive impact. Made a good handful of friends, quite a bit of money which helps with tuition/bills/etc, and I've learned a lot simply browsing the forums and participating in discussions.
