    Hello, basically as the title says i'd like to loose a bit of weight, im 15 and weigh about 175 lbs (roughly) i'd give myself chubby, but aint really fat.
    i can live with just being a little overweight, i still get regular girlfriends and it doesnt affect my life other than the odd slagging from friends (as they do)
    i'd like to see what its like to be regarded skinny again. my metabilism is quite slow which ive gathered from trying to perviously diets, so any tips help alot as im going on a health eating plan starting from 'right now', soda becomes water and biscuits/sweets become apple's though i only exercise about 1-2 a week.

    can never really stay on a diet for more than a week, im really determined this time.. if you skinnys have any tips or tricks that would be great. thanks!

    EDIT: being 15 i cant go on any drastic diets or health kicks and my parents obviously still make me dinner. but still i'd like to loose wait as FAST AS POSSIBLE. dont say oh change to health living loose weight slowly bla bla

    Have you looked through my guide? Activity level isn't anything if you don't have a good diet. Go through my guide and determine your maintenance level. Eat 500 calories below your maintenance level and you will lose weight... it's not magic.

    First of all, you need to in cooperate resistant training, and a good diet together to loose weight, many people over look eating, and insist on consuming minimal amounts of food intake to loose weight Completely WRONG, one must eat nutritional meals packed with high levels of carbohydrates, and protein together to help loose weight.

    Their isn't much to say, you need to start going to the gym, becoming active and doing a lot of cardio with resistant training. Compound movements + Cardio + a good diet = Loss of excessive fat, maintenance and stronger muscles. In other words you must consume roughly five hundred calories less then your normal intake and train regularly.

    I have been training for roughly two years.

    Get a local gym membership, eat healthy, exercise... you'll feel great about yourself and you'll start seeing the results.

    definitely work on diet. maybe dont quit everything cold turkey but try to gradually avoid bad foods. as far as exercising you should try to do some cardio which can be running, jump roping, or many other things. also some people dont know this but the more muscle you have, the faster you burn calories. so hitting the weights cant hurt. good luck m8

    im 15 and im 5 ft 8 and im about 215 lbs. I'm really not fat at all, im a very muscular person, but i c exactly where ur coming from, as i would like to lose some weight as well. I basically eat freely, just dont eat junk foods and run about 5 miles a day and ive been losing a little at a time.

    Cut your carbs by 1/3. Which means divide your pasta by 3, only eat 2 potions. Eat everything else such as meat, etc. Should be simple without loosing much nutrients required for your body at this age.

    Losing weight in someone so young is not straight forward and will require medical/dietetic supervision. Even in adults the average weight loss is only 9-15lbs a year, so this is a long term lifestyle issue, requiring both an appropriate diet and very regular vigorous exercise. A few basic things you can do is maintain a calorie deficit and exercise daily.

    been not bad so far, i've still been eating regular meals .. quite taken a fancie for eating oranges in the morning. tuna pasta etc for lunch and just regular dinners such as chicken fish. main thing has been cutting out all fizzy drinks, and never snacking i cant obviously see much results now but starting to feel more awake and a bit more active, i play squash soccer rugby and badminton as im already in school teams so should be ok, weighed myself and im actaly 168 pounds so not so bad ;)

    The only drinks you should be consuming are whole some fresh fruits, milk, and water.

    Any other garbage is excess sugar calories right to your GUT.
    Pop, and alcohol is the worst. If you wish to drink, drink in moderation.

    This, not only does working out make you lose weight, you feel MUCH better about yourself. Just 1 tip is to start steady at it and if you dont have the money to get a gym membership (as there pretty expensive) go for runs, do pull ups etc.

    I've been losing the pounds pretty fast myself, I'm in the same situation.

    Some easy tips:
    1) Don't drink soda/pop/fizzy shit
    2) Drink a lot of water
    3) Eat what you like, but in moderation
    4) Start with minimal amounts of exercise and gradually do more as you become more comfortable with your abilities
    5) Try to get up and move around, stretch, limit your access to video games, etc...

    It's been working for me quite well.

    i agree with everything here except the milk part. try to avoid milk/dairy if you can. it is unneeded calories,fat, etc. milk is just really not necessary and not as healthy as people would like to believe. if you really cannot let go of milk as a complement to other meals (like cereal, cookies, etc) i suggest trying a milk alternative such as Rice Milk...my personal favorite. it is actually really good haha

    Don't eat that un necessary food like cookies, candy etc.

    I mean you can spoil yourself every once in a while...but try to eat healthy and eat a little less in each meal.

    Try another sport too :)

    I mean honestly, wrestling changed my life. I know everyone says it's gay but it really requires a lot of physical strength and mentality. IDK about your school's wrestling team but we do serious stuff...200 pushups minimum in total a practice and if we lose to a bad team at a meet we run like 3 miles and do sprints for like 40 min non stop. my coach is a bitch.

    anyways you will gain a lot of muscle mass and drop weight.

    Or just go to the gym or do track/cross country.

    edit: i play football too and wrestling practice is harder imo.

    Try getting into a daily workout routine, and counting calories. That's been working for me, and join a fitness class if you still in school.

    The best method I used to lose 10kg in a month or so a few years back was to cut back my diet drastically. I think it was more of a loss of appetite thing and a normal change in my body, but I've basically maintained the same weight for years after. Best of all, I didn't do a lot of exercise and I still don't (going to start hitting the gym soon though).

    Here's how: cut out ALL between-meal snacks except for fruit. Eat smaller portions of main meals, but don't have desserts. Oh, and stop drinking that bottle of Coke in your fridge (I've been doing that and I've put on a kilo or two over xmas) as sugary drinks are just calories. Have ice cold water, I suggest sitting next to your computer with a jug and just keep drinking every time you feel hungry. It seems to keep me filled and helps me to forget about food. If you are desperately hungry, have a serving of fruit, and only a small amount.

    Remember, gradual changes. Don't instantly stop eating less tomorrow, but slowly cut out extra things in between meals that you don't need.

    As for main meals, ensure you have a good balance of protein, calcium (a glass of milk in the morning and/or before bed is good (and it will relax you before sleep)) and other nutrients which I am too tired to list right now. Have vegetables with every meal, a simple salad works. Add a light dressing or salt to give it some flavour and make it palatable. Just be weary of what you eat and how much you are eating, if you are full then don't feel the need to finish off your plate.

    Just a few tips that may help you.
