What do you think the future of osrs will be as the years go by?

mid the HD client passes and gets approved of jagex do you think there will be a surge of new players coming to the game?

or let’s say if it doesn’t happen, what do you think will happen to osrs in the next upcoming years?

I hope the game doesn’t die but I’ve seen a huge decline in the pk communities, I do understand that a lot of pvmers don’t care too much, but every small community counts just the same.

 

Idk man, a few years ago I thought OSRS would die out after people finally had enough of their nostalgia fix, but yet here we are. Player count still kicking and the Steam integration definitely gave OSRS a good boost. Nostalgia aside, the simplicity and the sort of "zen-ness" aspect of the game is definitely working really really well for them in the huge sea of action-packed MOBA and shooter games we have right now.

As for an HD client, I could almost guarantee it could give OSRS another push, albeit temporarily. But still would be a huge net positive for them in the end.

But yea, OSRS is just a huge part of my childhood that I definitely don't want it to die. But unfortunately, at some point, it will. It's more of a 'when' question.

osrs and rs3 both dying out slowly. most of the players who play are players from years back.

 

Wont get new players, jut returning old players. Pandemic is the biggest spike they'll ever get. no update will cause a spike that big
