What is this desktop worth?

This is for sale at Walmart in my hometown for $1,200.00. Just curious if its easier to buy this vs build one. Ill add a picture of the info on it. Only pc games i play are OSRS and GuildWars2 on high detail.

With no clue what brands they used to build it, it’s pretty much impossible to tell if it’s overpriced. You could probably Build something like this for about $1000-1500, depending on brands and optional extras.

 

For example: System Builder - Core i7-8700 3.2GHz 6-Core, GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GT OCV1, Focus G (Black) ATX Mid Tower - PCPartPicker

Just grabbed the brands I know to be good, room for improvement definitely.

Also I gotta say the pc will be WAY overpowered for a bit of rs and guildwars.

 

They have the same one here at Walmart in Delaware , they also have one for 1500 that has a 1080 in it by me , a 1060 for 1300 isnt terrible but I bought a laptop off Amazon with a i7 1050ti in it for 900$ so I don't think that's a really good deal tbh

 

Thanks, i usually just play on weekends heavy and during the week i play after work so I may be overkill on this lol.

 

The price listed seems reasonable. You can probably build one with the same specks for a lot cheaper, but that glass case is actually pretty nice and is a $100+ case by itself.

 

I built a better PC for much less during the sales season. And like others have mentioned, I bet Walmart uses cheap parts they don't mention. I'd just build your own at $1200.

 

Do not I repeat do not buy this pc from Walmart. Think of how much its marked up. Its for sure over priced I can see this being like a 800$ tops. Do youre self a favor and just customize your own for 1300.

 

Check if it uses "used parts" or not.
