What Is The Scariest Thing That Has Happened To You?

Whether its some ghost haunting or nearly getting run over, what has been the scariest moment in your life so far?

 

I took an absurdly hard dump that was green when I was 10 and thought I was turning into the hulk.

 

One night, two friends and I decided to do an Ouija board because we were bored. We had candles lit and everything, and we started to do the board.

Nothing interesting happened at first, so we kept trying and eventually we quit. About a minute after we were done, my friend said his arm was burning. I shit you not dude, on my life, we saw two scratches form right down his wrists. I mean they were like rashes, not just a little discoloration on the skin.

It was probably the most scariest thing in my life. Since then, I've stayed away from stuff like that but the adrenaline of it was kind of unreal. I still sometimes go in abandon houses (Just the other day), but nothing will compare to that.

 

When I was out one time and my mum text me saying there was a guy going crazy with a big butchers knife near in my area, I walked round the corner and saw 4 police cars and this man waving a huge knife. The police was just blocking the road off as I walked in the area and the man just looked at me and started to walk towards me with this big knife. I pretty scared haha, I just quickly run out the part where he was behind the police cars and carried on walking home.

 

I'm not one to speculate on whether paranormal ideas are real or possible, but I make a point to avoid things that involve possession. Ouija boards, seances, shit like that. I mean, what if it is real? You're just inviting malicious things to come fuck with you, not cool. As such, the scariest thing that's happened to me, despite my efforts to avoid all in that area, was a sort of haunting type thing.

I was in my bedroom at night, just turned off the TV, a hum of the TV's noise still in my ears, and it starts to get sharper and more regular. Over the next ten minutes, as I listen, the hum in my ear-- which I just thought was my ears getting use to the abscence of the TV's noise-- turned into regular breathing. It had a distinct in and out quality, clearly. Just to add insult to scared-shitless, it was coming from my fucking closet by the window. So I sit there for 30 minutes unable to even really move as this breathing goes on. It was a really nasally breath too, not really growling, just like it was coming from the back of the throat. I sum up courage to turn over to ease my aching tense back, and when the rustling of the sheets stop, the breathing is gone without my even noticing when it happened.

It was fucked up.

The next morning, I told my mother there's a ghost in my closet (at age 17), and she assured me it was the mill 2 miles away venting their dryer steam. I've never heard this noise before or since, but she is positive no one notices during the day, and I must have gotten use to it not to notice it during the night again. Second scariest thing was when I had a dream I got up from my bed, walked downstairs, and a whole crowd including 3 or 4 people on horseback shuffled by me in my hall. I woke up and found myself actually standing IN the hall, but I'm sure the crowd of people were in my dream... it was really odd, but I didn't care, I was tired so I went back upstairs and went to sleep again

My door just slammed shut (no wind or anyone) and I was terrified. Light outside was on and wasn't in my room so it was pitch black, I was terrified so I didn't move, put the blanket over my head and fell asleep after a good 2 hours of waiting to be killed or something

 

Wow, I had a similar experience about a week ago.

As of now, I live by myself whilst in a different country and I have my own place till I go back. Can't recall exactly what happened, but it wasn't the TV, nor did I watch TV before I heard it.

I think I came from the bathroom and was about to sleep. I usually sleep around 2-5AM. Behind my bed is a wardrobe, and next to my bed is also a window. So as I was about to sleep, I heard a similar sound. I think you described it perfectly. I can make the sound from the back of my throat, not growling. I think that's what you mean at least. It also sounded like it came from my wardrobe. I thought it could have been something from outside, but I've never heard it in the few months I've been here. I looked towards the wardrobe, then I ignored it and went to sleep.

 

When I was 14, my parents and I were driving to Home Depot. They parked and then went inside and left me in the car. Now I'm in the back seat. The car's turned on, and for some reason either a) I think the car wouldn't lock when the key was in the ignition and it was turned on and parked, or b) I just didn't feel like locking the doors. I think it was 'a', though. Anyways, I'm sitting there with the radio going. And this guy, I guess he thought that the owners of the car just ran inside to pick up something really quick, and was going to be right back. Anyways, this guy looked like he was in his late 40s/early 50s and looked fairly nonthreatening. He walks up to the car and just opens the car door opposite of where I'm sitting. I'm just sitting there like 'O.O' wtf. Anyways, he's very calm and makes up some BS excuse about the rear end of our car, asking how tall it was and if I thought he could squeeze two giant dog carriers in it. I played along and then he finally left.

He basically acted like this was an open car lot, where he can check out what car he wants to buy. I know that this wasn't his original motive, because this was an 80k car, and people willing to spend that much money on a car don't do what he just did. I suspect he was just trying to shake down the car really quick.

This isn't the scariest thing that's happened to me, but it was just creepy. Now, if I were in a situation like that again, I'd ask him what the fuck he's doing and call him on his shit. Then I'd politely ask him to step the fuck away.

 

I was on the bus and this guy was staring at me, when I got off a few stops later, he followed. He kept on following me until I started to run away, he ran after me but I managed to ditch him in an alley. I was scared to death, I thought that he would kill or mug me.

 

I live literally in the middle of the woods in the middle of nowhere and I usually stay up really late and most nights I have my window open. Outside my window is this old rutted out road that leads to the top of this other mountain where the family cemetery is and it is thickly wooded. At night sometimes I will feel like someone is watching me and then usually a cool breeze, I mean I don't really believe in ghosts or paranormal phenomena but this is creepy. I usually close my window, lock it, then turn on my light for a while. haha

 

Got stabbed in my back

 

I was young, around 8-10 years old. My younger sister and I would usually scare each other, I'm sure I've done this to her. While she was in the room, I'd off the light (It's night), and I'd slam the door shut. She, being young, was obviously scared and ran out.

I had my own room, my 2 sisters shared one. But there was basically 3 beds in each room if one of us ever wanted to sleep in the other room. I was in their room, on top of the bunk bed. So I'm just laying down, really tired and sleepy. She then goes ahead, turns the light off (It was night) and slams the door shut on me.

It didn't bother me and I carried on trying to fall asleep. Shortly, I felt something touching me, on my arm. I didn't look back, I was on my side, and without thinking for even a second, I jumped off the bunk bed and ran out. I was positive something touched me, and not like a poke, but like felt my arm. To this day, the thought of that happening is slipping away, thinking it was just my imagination. But other things makes me thinks otherwise. Nothing like that has ever happened to me.

In that house my older sister told me this, while she stays up late at night, that someone knocks on the window of her room. The window is huge, probably over 5ft wide and 5ft tall. There's 2. She said that someone knocked 3 times, she pulled the curtain away to see who it was. No one, she then closed it again. Seconds later someone knocks on the other side of the window, so she ran and pulled the curtains away, no one. It was night, we've had the housemaid for over 5+ years at that point, and she wouldn't do such a thing. Plus she needs her sleep. No one else was awake. And the wall surrounding that house was about 7-8 ft tall. She's not the only person to hear knocking.

 

In an empty house with work being done on it. Fell 12 ft into the basement at night(no stairs were put in yet), it was midnight, and absolutely pitch black. I couldn't see my hand in front of my face, and I was already terrified from the 12 ft drop onto concrete. Spent a good 30 min finding my way out.

I was mostly scared because I was thinking about what would have happened if I hadn't been so lucky to land mostly on my feet. Also there was a chainsaw near where I fell.

 

Mine was probably seeing an angel. I know its supposed to be good but it was definetely one of my scariest moment

 

LOL, I went to Burger King a few weeks ago with a couple friends, and this Pedofile dude who looks like a 45 year old mario walks in , and sits diagnol from us, he didn't get anything, but he just stared at me the whole time, didn't even look away.. Lol pretty weird

 

idk really...Lots of scary things have happened to me...i mostly block out things like that....

But probably the scariest thing that happened to me that I can remember clearly was the first time I got arrested...I was 12, I got strip searched and had to sit in a cell for over 14 hours with no blanket or anything before I got moved to a "night time" holding cell...Then in the morning when I was going to court, I was in the court house holding cell (old city hall in toronto because it was saturday) I was with a bunch of other kids..mostly 15 and 16 and they were fucking with me...

 

Wow, that really is scary, especially the window knocking, I wouldn't have the guts to open the curtains! I would just move to another room or something, you never know what could be behind the curtain. Your own story sent a shiver down my spine, it actually frightened me just reading it!

 

I won't go into much detail, but I almost crushed my leg so bad I probably wouldn't be able to walk on it again. I don't know if you believe in God or anything, but somebody must have been looking out for me. It missed me by literally an inch.
