Nickelback's Disappeared Off The Face of The Planet

This is not a rant thread, please understand that I'am a huge fan for their fifth album "All The Right Reasons." They had a staggering 50 million views on their hit single "Far Away." Lately, I was browsing Youtube and noticed they had released the song Lullaby and was shocked to see less than 12 million views. They used to be a popular band in my high school days, but that was it. Were you guys fans of Nickelback in their earlier years? Or perhaps fans of them now? It seems as though their fan base shrunk drastically.

 

Yeah I never really liked them. They put too much fake emotion into their songs like they're the most intense things they've ever talked about.

 

I remember them being popular in elementary school and I have some nostalgia with one or two of their songs.

Really though, people started hating them (for good reason). maybe they're just sick of it.

 

People started hating on them like crazy. I blame the internet to be honest, it's a thing now, everyone hates nickelback. For example a few months ago they were going to play a concert, but like thousands of people started protesting them around the concert area so they had to cancel it LOL.

 

Since the song rockstar came out, it drove me insane the amount it was overplayed and glorified by my fellow peers. Since then I took a dislike to their music.

 

Lol.... "Shocked to see less than 12 million views" omg...

They suck man. They're one of those bands that rose to fame by riding the coattails of the popularity of 90s rock bands like pearl jam, stp, soundgarden, nirvana. I guess people eventually realized all their songs sound alike lol


I dont mean to flame, I just really dont like bands that completely ripped off the bands of the early 90s

 

to be honest all of those bands suck as well. Ive never been a fan of any of the 90's rock. The worst in my eyes was pearl jam and NiN otherwise known as 9in nails. Uhmm Nickelback had its time when the boy bands finally stopped the mass amounts of people had to find something. I liked a few of their songs. But the majority was the same shit. 12m views is still huge tho and hate em if you want to but they made mad cash.

I still really like nickelback. Hating on them is apparently just the cool thing to do. If people have their reasons to not like them then that's fair enough but when friends say they don't like them I ask why and they can never give a real answer.

Nickleback has always been pretty lame for me to be honest. When did their first song come out, like around 2002? Instead of giving airplay to the songs that deserved it I'd always hear "THIS IS HOW YOU REMIND ME OF WHAT I REALLLY AM!"

I don't know, they never clicked with me lol. But all those staggering numbers are because they're being taken by all these other stars like the beever kid and that Marylin manson lady.

 

I like how people assume that just because people don't like a band, it must be because it's a fad.

I came to dislike them under my own opinions.

 

I have nothing against them. Never really was a fan they were popular back in elementary school. I like maybe one or 2 of there songs and don't mind hearing them on the radio once in a while.

Fuck Nickelback. Way too generic and I hate Chad's voice. I hate that so many people associate Canadian music with them

 

i like maybe 2 or 3 of their songs
i think they're ok but kinda overrated imo

 

nickelback is great but he's emotions on the videos is pretty much lame.

 

i could never stand the lead singer's voice so I just never bothered to listen to them.
