whats with everyones email getting hacked?

lol I mean cmon really guys? half of them are mods or people of a high notoriety on sythe and yet they are dumb enough to fall for whatever tactics to get hacked... I mean cmon short of being unluckily bruteforced this stuff shouldn't be happening and certainly not at the level it has been recently as long as you know even a slight amount of how the internet works. feel free to discuss your feelings on the subject.

 

Honestly, A lot of newcomers (by new i mean last 6 months), claim to get hacked and i honestly don't believe them. I personally think that they change their IP's and scam another user fearing no consequence. Otherwise how the hell are they getting hacked, and why would someone hack the name of a nobody? Why not get Grave or all the other big time sellers where they have the possibility of scamming billions (couple hundred $$$) rather then 10m a.k.a like $1 or $2 of eoc gold. Their not going to do this. If i where to "hack" someone it would be a big time gold distributor. Most of these claims are lies, i'll call the bluff on em'.

NOT SAYING IM GOING TO HACK ANYONE. don't get that twisted

 

Oogabooga is good at what he does. Thats mainly who is hacking these accounts =/ Nothing we can do about it.

 

lol no matter how good you are you can't hack someone via messenger without either
-said person allowing access to the offender in some form
-by downloading or accepting something malicious.
-or them having the information needed already ie knowing the victim irl.
so there is no excuse for being hacked other than being ignorant to the way of the internet and computers in general, in which case they shouldn't have these higher positions on the site.

I personally would love to see some form of a ban to occur for a short period of time [week-month] as it would help make people think more intelligently before either scamming and saying someone hacked them and or be more safe.

 

It was first of all, an exploit with hotmail/microsoft then secondly flaws in Skype's account recovery system.. with guess who.. microsoft.

It's not the user's faults really

 

You may be right as I don't keep up with technical issues with microsoft content but I still find even this hard to believe for the simple fact that no other site has had even close to the amount of "hackings" as sythe has had recently this includes sites that are larger than sythe. Now tell me if this "flaw" were to exist at a level that has been happening to sythe, shouldn't these other sites have a influx in hackings? I mean most sythe users use the sites I'm speaking of as well so its not like it would be a sythe secret on how to hack a email.

 

Because people put too much trust in these companies. You have to take your own precautions if you wish to succeed.

 

Just some n00bs using basic knowledge of the victim, like knowing their customers Skype accounts to social engineer Skype into handing over their account. Pretty bad really, avoid Skype if you really have to until they clear it up.
