What is the best / most promising survival game

There are so many of them, but lately after purchasing the stomping lands a few months back and having the developers run off with my money I am kinda weary of all these early access games, especially at like 20-25 min for a games that's not even done.


I do really love the survival/zombie game genre so what everyone's opinions on the best ones? H1z1, 7 days to die, Don't starve together, Dayz, Rust or post about anyone's I missed.

 

stomping lands isn't a game anymore? I just looked it up and it looks amazing.

 

Nope, it was even taken off steam for a while, I think a little bit ago the did a SUPER minor update to get it put back and not look like scammers, but theres no refunds and they aren't gonna finish the game.


You could ride dinos, Craft bolas and tie people up and kidnap them, one time I kept a 14 year old kid in a cage for 40 minutes, he couldnt even kill himself or anything cause I took his weapons LOL. It even had voice chat it was AMAZING and I am honestly sad it ended like that

It's been a long, slow, and ugly process, but it seems certain now that The Stomping Land, the multiplayer survival game set in a land of dinosaurs that raised over $100,000 on Kickstarter, has been abandoned. After losing contact with developer Alex "Jig" Fundora in late 2014, modeler Vlad Konstantinov halted his work on the game in January, and has now moved on to a different game altogether.

 

Stomping Lands was super fun lol, the developers stopped working on it for a while though. I'm not sure if they're back

Rust is also pretty fun, but it would be better if they had some type of map. It's annoying when you get back on a server to find your base has been raided though

DayZ has a lot more walking than what I prefer, but it's still fun to get ambushed by bandits. I had to kill 1 with a fire extinguisher lol

H1Z1 I've only played H1Z1 for a little bit, but I like this 1 the most. The only issue I have with it is that if you use a water bottle 16oz to get hydrated you have to refill/drink it like 10 times to get back to 100% hydration

I've played A LOT of survival games, these are just the first ones to come to mind

 

Yeah, I played dayz some back in its Arma mod stage, it does have a giant map which is nice, and also a curse at the same time. Meetinup with people takes forever haha.

I remember a hunger games type one on kickstarter but I dont think it really ever went anywhere but that would be the best

 

Oh gee, a subject I could talk about for awhile...

Rustis amazing, whether people like to believe it or not. Yes it looks generic, yes it's pretty basic, but it's an amazing game that you can play with friends for hours upon hours, days, months.

I mean... The only game I've ever put so many hours was Oblivion, and that was like 4,500 hours when I was like 13, and I thought that was amazing.

Until Rust... 6,000 hours later I must say, I have taken quite a large break from the game, since we all played it day after day, non stop.

H1Z1, I haven't played it yet, but appparently it's supposed to be very good. Alot of people think it's a DayZ killer, but everyone has their own opinion about the game. But the graphics are definitely up to scratch, and the combat looks okay.

DayZ, well if you don't know what DayZ is then you probably haven't been playing survival games long. I mean, it's pretty popular depending on if you're playing the Mod version over the standalone version.

These three here, are probably your three largest and probably best all round survival games out right now.

 

dayZ 100% the multi player experience is better than the competition in my opinion.

 

Feature-wise, DinoSystem looks very promising as singleplayer survival experience, and i urge you to vote its greenlight campaign to help out the project!

 

Eh, Dayz I have played before it just is a little too slow for me, the map is a little too big and it doesnt keep my interest when I literally spend 30 minutes walking to get anywhere relevant.

H1Z1 looks great I am trying to hold out because its supposed to be free eventually but no idea when
