So... What happened?

I didn't play RS for like.. 1 year, what happened with RS in that time?

 

Let me just say that you picked a bad time to come back. RS has overall gotten worse.

 

A massive change is about to happen, combat will be entirely reworked. For more info about that, take a look at the combat rework thead. Besides that alot of new armours have been introduced, everything got polished up a bit, and there is a new, jad-like challenge.

Probably missing out on a lot, but this is what I could think of. Oh yeah, and a bot-nuke has taken place, was succesfull for a couple of months ( Except against colour bots ), and a new botnuke is about to happen.

 

Jagex is changing one of the most important and quintessential elements of the game. They are making Runescape combat more like a WOW feel. I personally do not like this new combat system but hopefully it will spice up the markets so I can sell my gold for, and my accounts for more.

Its kind of a new "era" for runescape because of all the changes that are happening to the game right now. So its really how you see this new combat update maybe its a good time for you to come back and maybe its not, your just going to have to wait and see.

 

jagex is screwing up the game once again, that's basically what's happened to it. bad time to come back unless you want to play wowscape.

Wait 9 days til the Beta is open to everyone. You should then give it a go, see if it appeals to you. If not, just walk away and don't look back.
