Ideas for weekend activites

Hey guys so I am a high school wreslter and when I get home from tournaments, quads, meets on saturdays I usally just want to sleep but I feel that I am just throwing my saturday nights by. I am looking for clean fun things to do with or without friends on the week besides just staying home and playing video games or sleeping. I can find parties and do that "stuff" if I want to but I am looking for just creative options to do or go places. I live north of Chicago so you can put things to do around me too just to give you an idea. Thanks for the help!

 

Find a park, take a walk, plug in your favorite music. Personally, if it's a saturday night and I've got nothing to do I just grab my Zune and go out and skateboard. It's pretty relaxing to skate around with the breeze blowing in your face.

 

Go play at arcade game places with a bunch of friends if you enjoy playing games

 

Check out some of the local concerts in your area. Lots of hidden gems out there that not a lot of people know about

 

Walking in a park makes me relieved, you should try it, too

 

If the weather is nice on a weekend, you should round up some friends beforehand (during the week), and meet up Saturday morning to pack some lunches & grab coffee. Then you stuff the car full of whatever you need and head out on a road trip

There are loads of things you can do, ranging from hikes, to camping trips, to exploring new areas of the city, driving out to a lake or swimming hole, local caves (if you have them), parks, recreation centers, or you could all just go out for lunch somewhere.

Having a vehicle gives you a great amount of freedom that you can use to your advantage! If you can't drive, maybe one of your friends could? Or you could look up the local bus routes and plan your routes accordingly, depending on the activity you choose.

 

Take up a hobby.

Smoking marijuana is fun and clean.

 

Going to the movies, going bike riding, walking around, buying clothes, anything else you want.
