To get 60 attack, or to not get 60 attack?

So I'm currently @ 50 attack...



70 HP, and I have 1.4k zeals saved up.


At this point I don't know when I should get 60 attack. Should I wait until 85/90 strength? I'm training range and magic independently, they will get to the 90's eventually, but I'm more worried about attack/strength right now.

When should I get 60 attack: now, while I'm still decently low strength, or wait until my strength and other stats are higher?

Get 80 strength then 60 attack. dds/claws own gmauls and have a higher chance of hitting better.

 

Get 60 attack if your gmaul fails then your basically have to rely on even more luck. Plus it opens a plethora of new weapons and is just a lot more fun in my opinion, better training locations etc.

 

I'd stay at 50 attack and concentrate on maxing out range + magic. Then train slayer for the leaf bladed sword which is essentially a dragon scimitar with a lower strength bonus (although the requirements are a bitch, 50 att, 55 slayer and the completion of smoking kills)+ it looks sexy as hell. After that, concentrate on training your strength/dungeoneering if you want a chaotic staff or crossbow.

 

Doesn't Smoking Kills or the prequests give def xp?

 

No, although one of the rewards for Smoking Kills is the ability to collect slayer points after each task which can be used to learn how to craft a slayer helm which requires 10 defence to wear.

 

With a dragon scimitar, you can average more xp/hr. However, depends on how you pk. If you rush, 60 attack might just add combat levels. If your doing long fights, dragon claws would be a good KO weapon.

 

Your account is exactly like mine, I got 55 slayer and it is extremely good, it is the equivalent to dragon scimmy, so if it were me, dont get 60 att and get leaf bladed.

 

60 attack will allow you to train your strength a hell of a lot faster than 50.

 

Yes get 60 attack, but quest it! Do not zeal it all the way to 60. The two monkey madness prequests give 28k attack xp I think. If you get 60 attack by zeal you wont be able to quest without getting 61. I made that mistake.

 

I reckon 60 attack will be the better option, as granite maul, in my opinion, ain't that great.

Also you will be able to use dragon scimitar which is great for training.

 

If Gmaul fails, then usually theres not much else to do. Either stay there with 0 chance of killing and waste food or GTFO.


Get 60 attack and spend the zeal on strength is the most reasonable way I believe.

 

I already did all the quests to get 50

I can kill plenty of people w/o spec. I either just get lucky with d bolts (Which doesn't happen too often), or I pretend I'm running away so they don't eat + I hit them, or I just use the polypore staff

 

It all depends on what your plans are, if you just want to stay a 1v1 pker. 50attk is best option. if you want to start doing multi 60attk is best option. If you start playing runescape seriously ie joining a clan and attenting preps/wars/minis then you may want to get 80attk for chaotics. All depends on what you want to do bro. I used to be maxed mauler 67cb.

 

Train it to 60 when you get bored.
