Msn help

Well i recently downloaded msn because i had it uninstalled for a long time for this reason. Basically i can't log into my msn email under msn messenger. I can log onto it on ebuddy, meebo and any other browser websites but i can't log into the msn messenger. The weird thing is i can log onto other accounts on my msn messenger it is just this particular account that won't let me login. Any help appreciated.

 

You must have downloaded an old version or you are using windows messenger, and not windows live.

Make sure you are using the correct version of MSN.

 

i'm not sure that's the problem because other msn accounts work on this messenger. Also i just downloaded from the official msn page.

You need to delete the cache files, what OS are you running?

 

windows xp

 

Your cache files are located at

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Windows Login\Contacts\Your Messenger Addy

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Windows Login\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts\Your Messenger Addy

You'll have to enable the viewing of hidden files and folders first.

 

And how would i get around to doing that? Sorry i don't know much about all this

EDIT: K i made it the the "contacts" folder but after i click that it's just a blank file.

 

You just have to delete everything in those folders.

 

So i delete the "contact" folder?

Cause when i click "Documents and Settings" it takes me to a "Contact" folder that is completely empty.
