What happened to RID Bot?

I paid for the unlimited beta access and it seemed like the biggest scam and ways of money ever...

Any hope for this project?

 

Nah.
It is a meme bot at this point. Almost a decade in development while being nothing special than simple colorbot. The RiD project never walked the walk, look into other bots instead.

If you're exicted for what's to come. OSBot 3.0 is released soon, with AI features included. Good luck.

 

Ah, RiD. The cryptocurrency ICO of the botting world. So much advertised buzzwords but ended up with no result.

 

I checked the site a few times and I saw no way to download anything or view scripts.

 

Most of the community activities take place in their official Discord, hence why it might appear dead. Most of the Genesis sections of the forums are hidden without an active subscription.

Currently, Genesis supports most skills in both OSRS and RS3, including tasks that require navigation or conditional logic. There are also script editing tools now and an automatic vision option that removes the need to manually configure world items.

I would highly suggest reaching out to the help channels in their Discord if you’re having trouble. There is a bit of a learning curve and RiD is currently focusing on improving the user experience and guides, but there’s quite a bit that’s possible once you learn the basics.

 

As a former RID user, just go somewhere else lol. There are better bots that take a lot less time to figure out and are also cheaper...

 

As you're someone who actually used their software, do you agree that RiD being "intelligent", "next gen", or whatever buzzword is just mostly marketing?

 

I think it's genuine in the fact that nobody else will have a script like yours. You create your own bot sort of, the whole thing was fucking stupid though lol. Took me a couple hours to get a nmz bot done. I moved on to visualRM when i wanted to create a bot and the possibilities with that are endless.

As far as next gen, nah, that belongs to the mobile botting platforms and rspeer's spoofing.

 

I also HAVE to point out that I did request a refund which anyone who has purchased it can do, and it took them over a year to refund me lol. This support ticket sat untouched for months I kid you not.

 

It is important to note that a significant amount of change has occurred within the last ~9 months. Many of the issues that plagued the older versions have been resolved, and while there is still a slight learning curve, I regularly see new users come in and make their first bots in a short period of time. Ultimately, while I do acknowledge many of the frustrating issues that existed in years past, the fact of the matter is that it’s not fair to bring up issues prior to 2020 that no longer exist today; it’s a drastically improved platform since then.

In regard to refunds, I empathize with the frustrations there; however, it is important to note that now that everything is on a subscription model, every user can manage their subscription directly from PayPal itself rather than needing to use a support ticket.
