what happened to egold?

i sold some gp for around $1k last year, and the buyer chose to pay me with egold. not knowing the situation of money laundering with egold, i accepted the buyer's offer and he paid me on egold. since then (year and a half or more has passed) i havent been able to transfer or wire the money to my bank account and the money is basically inaccessible

does anyone know what i could do to get my money? anyone know whats up with egold and if it will be fixed anytime soon? is there any way to use the money or transfer it to any other online gold site (paypal etc.)?
