What happened to Claim & Cancel?

What happened to C&Cing? Is it now disallowed? I haven't been to sythe in years, back since Dorito's got banned for scamming (was it 2 blues and a green i think?) and matrix ozzy was a cool cat LOL.

Back then there was no Gift. There was no "Please put in your note 'This is for virtual items which I have allready recieved'", ect. It was C&C or nothing.

What happened? Am I the only one who promotes it these days?

    Thoughts? Questions?

PayPal is still, and always has been, scammable. Credit Card is still able to reverse C&C payment, and Bank can still reverse Gifts. Nothings ever safe, but why the switch ? Because Gift is easier?

    Thanks

I personally accept all payments as gifts. I've never had a single payment reversed, and I've sold thousands worth of items. I like to think that it is because I can tell when someone's being legit about buying my items. People who talk to me out of nowhere and ask to buy large quantities of things, I generally ignore. I guess my success is just a combination of luck, intuition, and keeping trades below $100. Also, gift payments are simply quicker and like you said, if someone's going to chargeback, it doesn't matter if it's gift or C&C.

True. I find that if you force them to C&C and in this day and age I havent had ANYONE know what C&C is/does, so I feel it makes them afraid in a way, since they don't know WHAT it is, they can't exploit it.
Course, it's also not everyday you get some immature child who owns a credit card and ties it to PP. And wants to scam it back.

    Anywho,
tl;dr - C&Cing people who dont know what it is, or dont have CC funded paypals is the way to go IMO.
