Just sold an acc for $200, then I realized I don't have much life outside of RuneScape/Sythe, so I'm going to upgrade my donor rank. Any logical suggestions to what it should be? Looking to start some MMing :/
Personally, I'd buy a share of stock in a company that allows you to reinvest the dividends and buy more stock. That way your $60 keeps paying you money, instead of just being something you'll use and forget or that will break. The best lesson you can give your daughter is a secure financial future. If she can learn that possessions won't make her happy, that's a great lesson. So many women say, "But my parents never taught me how to invest, so I don't have any savings." If she invests, she can get dividends off the money, and eventually get to the point where she doesn't have to work. Wouldn't it be nice to make money from your money, instead of working for a living. Buying shares of stock can teach her how to be a millionaire. Have her read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" for some important lessons. OR Why do you need to spend it? At your age, what would you waste it on? Candy? Soda? Clothes? Music? Something tells me you can do extra chores around the house and have mom/dad pick up the tab for those gifts. How about opening up a savings account? The best thing my parents ever taught me was the art of saving. We opened a savings account when I was 8, didn't touch my paperboy savings money until I was 19, and I was able to pay for about 75% of my college expenses at a expensive NCAA Division I school. Make sure your bank is FDIC insured; so if the bank has problems the government can insure your money (give it back to you). How about buying some stocks in companies she likes to shop at, wear, or associate with?
