Paypal is thee worst company in the world

Do they hire the most incompatible people on the planet? i've probably used paypal for 3 years, and can't remember the last time It was fine at worst

what the fuck? I absolutely hate this company. the problem for me is I find ebay best, but paypal is a MUST for it. vent.

 

There's websites made specifically against PayPal. Pretty much all businesses have to be anal about there methods, especially for online transactions.

I don't really care for PayPal much, but I'd rather them be like this and protect my money than to be easy to use and lose my money.

 

Sadly they don't sacrife easiness for safety though, not only is it a nightmare to use but 99/100 I loose money aswell.

 

Banks themselves aren't much better.

You agree to Paypal's terms when you open the account. It's really good for small amounts of money (I constantly use it for small bits of electronics less than $10 and have never had a problem) however I'd be wary using it for much else in terms of buying.

If they eventually release your payment to you though there's not much problem, just means you won't see your money straight away.

I've been "indefinitely suspended" on ebay for almost half a year now. 300+ feedback, complete legitimate sales, nothing wrong at all. I'm lucky I still have my pp account, but I agree both ebay & pp are the worst company/partners I've ever had the tragedy of dealing with. I wish I could tell you something you want to hear, but honestly it's best not to get your hopes up. Expect and enjoy your money in 3 months. Oh and remember to log in frequently, pp likes to pull this fast one where they delete your account if you're too "inactive".

They can do everything with our money and we somekind agree with that when we accept the terms on the registery form.

 

They not as bad as most people say, when they limit your account they ask for information such as Drivers License etc. My guess is you broke their ToS and couldn't send the required documents they asked for. If that's not the case you can use Skrill on eBay last time I checked, it should be a little more popular on UK also.

I've never really had a problem with them.. But I've had an account since like 2007 and it's always been verified etc

 

They allow chargebacks entirely too easy.

 

For what they are, they do a pretty good job in my opinion. I've never really had a big problem with them and the few small ones have been resolved fairly easily after contacting them.

 

Agreed. They limited my account after I purchased 30 bucks worth of rsgp. Didn't bother calling or using them atain

 

The down side is you always have to be careful when dealing in paypal funds, no matter what it's for. As long as you're careful and not abusing any of their features, you shouldn't have many problems, if any.

 

Been limited twice, both times they unlimited me in 24hours>. Just had to send them more banking infomation and my ID.

 

When I had a problem with my account being locked up, I was on hold for like 40 minutes... then CLICK and the call got dropped. It took me a while to get ahold of someone, THEN I had to fax my drivers license or some crap before they released my account .__.

 

My account got fucked for $600 cause I'm under 18. They blocked it and I don't get my funds till I turn 18 which is fucked.

 

Its funny when people moan that funds are locked etc etc.

I am guessing your ebay account is a newish account or with little feedback?
If so then what do you expect? You sold a 'high' value item on ebay and they are protecting their buyers by holding the payment untill they receive + give feedback or 30/90 days.

So if you brought a expensive item from a ebayer and they simply shipped an empty box and closed their account and withdrew the money from their paypal, you would be ok with that?

The reason ebay holds the funds is so that you cannot just run.

Which in my eyes is a perfect solution to the problem at hand.

 

When I was in Iraq PayPal limited my account with $2,500 in balance. I got it resolved after verifying it within 48 hours.
